House Husbands’ Heart Risk
Most people assume that life in the rat race is bad for your health. But reversing the traditional

American scientists. By giving up their jobs in order to become house husbands, men increase
their risk of heart attack or coronary disease by as much as 82%, according to research based on
10 year study of 2.500 people in Boston, U.S.
According to Dr. Elaine Eaker, the key to the problem is that some men became stressed about
performing a role not traditionally assign to them by society. Men who stay at home tend not to
have the same levels of support from friends and family as woman do the same.
Jack O’Sullivan, of the Father’s Direct Group, was quoted as saying, “Society expects the main
career should be a woman and society is structured around that. Day care is called mother and
toddler groups and some men feel awkward about belonging to those groups.
Professor Gary Cooper, a psychologist at the University of Manchester, said many men tend to
underestimate the task of caring for a family. He said most men think being a house husband
involves putting on a bit of washing, taking the kids to school and the putting their feet up with a
cup of coffee.
They are crazy. Most men are not used to performing a variety of activities simultaneously – the
kind of multi-tasking which is second nature to most women.
It is estimated that men have taken over the main homemaker’s role in one in seven homes, as
increasing numbers of women become the main breadwinner. The study also found that women

positions.

The Importance to Wear a Mask
The issue of wearing face coverings in public comes up frequently these days. A common
sentiment is, “If I am not personally at high risk for COVID-19, why should I wear a mask?” For
those who do not cover their nose and mouth in public places, read the reasons below!
The reason for this is that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread even before
symptoms appear, by such things as coughing, sneezing, or even speaking at close range. Cloth
face coverings have been recommended due to their low cost and ready availability.
The importance of using it in public is illustrated here. If I wear my face covering to
protect you from me, and you wear your face covering to protect me from you, then we can all
dramatically decrease our risk of transmission of the virus that causes COVID-19.
It is obvious that wearing a mask is one of the most important things we can do to stop
the spread of COVID-19. To wear a mask safely, follow the tips below:

Why We Should Prevent Ourself From Social Media Addiction
Social media addiction is a behavioral addiction that is characterized as being overly
concerned about social media, driven by an uncontrollable urge to log on to or use social media,
and devoting so much time and effort to social media that it impairs other important life areas.
Whether you use social media to connect with friends and loved ones, watch videos, or simply

images, and videos that it interferes with other areas of your life.

effect on your brain. Whenever you log on to your favourite apps, dopamine signals in your brain
increase. These neurotransmitters are associated with pleasure. The positive feelings experienced
during social media use are only temporary. The way your brain engages in this positive
reinforcement is also seen in other addictions.

Social Distancing to Protect Ourselves
The term social distancing is familiar in our ears since it is often mentioned nowadays. Is
social distancing really important? Yes, it is important for us to protect ourselves amid the
pandemic.
According to the CDC, social distancing is “keeping a safe space between yourself and
people who are not from your household”.
The government urges us to do social distancing in the midst of a pandemic to inhibit or
break the chain of the spread of the coronavirus. Many companies and schools are closed and
people are working and studying at home. Events involving a large number of people are also
prohibited. These are the ways to prevent us from the exposure of the virus.
Some might argue that as long as we wash our hands and wear masks, it is okay to go
outside or even go on vacation. However, social distancing can help us in combating
coronavirus.
CDC also says that social distancing “helps limit opportunities to come in contact with
contaminated surfaces and infected people outside the home”. This can remind us that social
distancing is not a trivial thing which people can ignore.
Finally, we must always keep a distance whenever we go outside to do something urgent.
Always wear a mask and keep a distance with people. We should avoid attending any event that
involves many people and most importantly, stay at home.

Biomas energy is processed from waste materials. Examples of biomass energy are
sawdust and wood chippings, to make wood-pellets for biomass heating systems, corn and
switch-grass to make ethanol used as fuel for vehicles.
Positively, biomass energy can be produced locally, at minimum cost which the end user
benefits from and also contributes to maintaining local employement.
Besides, biomass energy is renewable and does not depend on fossil fuels. The piece of
fossil fuels has no bearing on the price of biomass and in the past ten years the price has stayed
the same which cannot be said for fossil fuels.
Furthermore, biomass energy is CO2 neutral, which means the CO2, produced is the
ammount ingested during the plants life time.
However, as with anything in life, there are drawbacks of using biomass energy. The
biomass may consist of fermented animal waste, agricultural crops, grains and other natural
products.
Considering pros and cons above, at large plants it’s economically feasible to install
technology to recycle and process the wastes, but there are still doubts about the ecological
impact of smaller biomass plants. It seeems all forms of alternative energy have some
drawbacks, but they all are better options to replace our current dependency on coal and oil.

The Spring Beauty
An old man was sitting in his lodge, by the side of a frozen steam. It was the end of winter, the
air was not so cold and his fire was nearly out. He was old and alone. His locks were white age
and he trembled in every joint. Day after day passed and he heard nothing but the sound of the
storm sweeping before the new-fallen snow.
One day while the fire was dying, a handsome young man approached and entered the lodge. His
cheeks were red, his eyes sparkled. He walked with a quick, light step. His forehead was bound
with a wreath of sweet-grass, and carried a bunch of fragrant flowers in his hand. “Ah, my son,”
said the old man, “I am happy to see you. Come in! Tell me about your adventures and what
strange lands you have seen. I will tell you of my wonderful deeds and what I can perform. You
shall do the same, and we will amuse each other.”
Then the man served him a cup of hot tea, some snacks and they began their stories. “I am
Peboan, the Spirit of Winter,” said the old man. “I breathe and the streams stand still. The water
turns solid and hard as clear stone.” “I am Seegwun, the Spirit of Spring,” answered the youth. “I
breathe and flowers spring up in the meadows and woods.” “I shake my locks,” said the old man,
“and snow covers the land. The leaves fall from the trees, and my breath blows them away. The
birds fly to distant land and the animals hide themselves from the cold.” “I shake my ringlets.”
Said the young man, “and warm showers of soft rain fall upon earth. The flower lift their heads
from the ground, the grass grows thick and green. My voice recalls the birds and they fly in
joyfully from the Southland. The warmth of my breath unbinds the streams and they sing the
songs of summer. Music fills the groves wherever I walk and all nature rejoices.”
And while they were talking, a wonderful change took place. The sun began to rise. A gentle
warmth filled the place. Peboan, the Spirit of Winter became silent. His dead drooped and the
snow outside the lodge melted away. Seegwun, the Spirit of Spring grew more radiant and rose
joyfully to his feet. The robins and the bluebirds began to sing on the top of the lodge. The
stream began to murmur at the door and the fragrance of opening flowers whifted softly in the
breeze.
The lodge faded away, Peboan sank down and dissolved into tiny streams of water, that vanished
under the brown leaves of the forest. Thus the Spirit of Winter depaeted and where he had melted
away, there the Indian children gathered the first blossoms, fragrant and delicately pink – the
modest Spring Beauty.

MOVIE REVIEW: COCO
Death comes to life and life comes to death in Pixar’s latest animated film “Coco.”
After a subpar “Cars 3” release, Pixar returned to its former glory with “Coco,” a film featuring
exceptional animation, complex characters and hard-hitting themes about love, loss and legacy.
“Coco” follows the story of Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez), a 12-year-old aspiring musician whose
family’s hatred toward music traces back multiple generations. After stealing a guitar from the
grave of his musical idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt), Miguel is transported to the
awe-inspiring land of the dead on Día de los Muertos. There he teams up with misfit skeleton
Héctor (Gael García Bernal), who offers his assistance in exchange for a chance to return to the
human world and visit the family he left behind. Together, they journey to discover the truth
behind Miguel’s family history and find his way back to the land of the living.
The primarily Latino cast is a refreshing ensemble that provides some necessary cultural
representation for the film. Mexican tradition plays a major role in the story, and it’s clear that
Pixar tried to ensure the film honored, rather than appropriated, Mexican customs. The film
incorporates authentic details like papel picado, colorful tissue paper with intricately cut patterns
hung at festivals in Mexico, traditional grave decorations such as marigold flowers and
xoloitzcuintli, a breed of hairless, Mexican dogs.
While the foundation of the land of the living is built on Mexican customs, the realm of the dead
draws from aspects of Mexican folklore to create a more imaginative fantasy world. The
deceased are goofy, calavera skeletons who look forward to Día de los Muertos, their annual
opportunity to cross an orange flower petal bridge into the land of the living and spend time with
their families. They are only permitted to cross the border, guarded by immigration and customs,
if their living families place their photos on the ofrenda – or the altar – in honor of their memory.
Once the dead are no longer remembered, they completely cease to exist, a devastating concept
that the film uses to illustrate the significant connection between families and their departed
loved ones.
Pixar beautifully contrasts the understated realism of the human world with the vibrant,
whimsical dimensions of the realm of the dead. Dazzling alebrijes, or brightly colored creatures
from Mexican folklore who roam throughout the land of the dead as neon lizards and gryphons,
give the film a vibrant visual scape. The meticulous attention to detail also shines in
reverberating guitar strings, textured candle wax and vivid colors of exploding fireworks, all of
which re-establish Pixar’s mastery of animation.
In addition to the visuals, guitar-based music provides viewers with an assortment of catchy,
sing-along tunes. The songs, composed by Academy Award-winner Michael Giacchino, consist
of tracks co-written by co-director Adrian Molina and “Frozen” duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez
and Robert Lopez. The soundtrack includes both soothing lullabies sung by a father to his
daughter and upbeat numbers performed by Miguel and Héctor at a talent show in front of an
exuberant audience of the dead. The film’s standout track is the recurring, sentimental
“Remember Me,” which begins as a generic pop number played by Ernesto de la Cruz for
thousands of screaming fans, before taking on the more emotionally stirring idea of
remembrance by the end of the film.
However, while the portrayal of Mexican culture is a theme previously unexplored by Pixar, the
studio still relies on an underdog trope to connect to their broad audience of both children and
adults. As a result, the formulaic narrative structure is predictable.
The film also draws from Hollywood films like Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride,” which similarly
focuses on a living man who finds himself stuck in the land of the dead, and Pixar’s own
“Ratatouille,” a story about a rat who pursues his passion for cooking despite his family’s
aversion to the culinary arts. Although Pixar put their own spin on the life and death tale, it still
bears resemblance to previous animated films. However, “Coco’s” powerful emotional
resonance, not the plot, is what distinguishes it from previous stories and ranks it among Pixar’s
best.
“Coco” compensates for its narrative shortcomings with poignant insights into the
intergenerational family dynamic and the commemoration of loved ones that will likely reduce
even the most stoic film buffs to tears.

Feeling left out from the pack, you gotta go rogue.
Five years from now, will this even matter? You hope. You don't know where to go

You waited way too long. You noticin' a pattern in your home
Screw all the good times, they're a past tense. I sleep and wake up when the world ends
Those memories, they so hard to forget. Question every day, "Are we there yet?"

That smile is worth the wait. Here comes better days
All these thoughts I have in my head. Got me blinded from the sunset
I'm tryin' hard to stop the rain. 'Cause smilin' doesn't feel the same
I just called to tell you, "Drive safe". Will I see you in the mornin'?
