The researchers came up with this study to determine the Impact of
Teacher’s Attendance on the student’s academic performance in terms of their
performance task to make workable suggestions and recommendation to
maximize their learning.
This study utilized the descriptive method design for the investigation in
collecting information about the Impact of Teacher’s Attendance on the
Academic Performance among 3rd Year Values Major Students at Bestlink
College of the Philippines S.Y 2021-2022. The researchers conducted a survey
inside the campus of Bestlink College of the Philippines. A total of 38
respondents participated in the study. The researchers used tables and ranking
method to analyze and present the data. The researchers used simple random
sampling technique in choosing the respondents.
The survey results show that most of the causes affecting teacher’s
attendance are Health issue, House is too far from school, unexpected
calamities, Effort reward imbalance, Job strain, Low skill discretion,
Interpersonal conflicts with co-workers. As to the impact of teacher’s
attendance to the students in terms of teacher's well-being in terms of
Professional Subject of 3rd year level its general mean is moderate extent with
a numerical interpretation of 3.44 suggested that the respondents had
understanding in their professional subject. As to the impact of teacher’s
attendance to the academic performance of the learners in terms of Physical
development the data shows that the respondents who answered moderate
extent with a numerical interpretation of 3.44 suggested that the respondents
had low ability to apply theories. As to Student assignment the respondents
who answered moderate extent with a numerical interpretation of 3.55
suggested that the respondents had rate in recalling important lesson from
months or even years, proves that frequent teacher attendance has an impact
on students ’academic performance. Most of the respondents suggest that their
teacher may discus in online discussion forums 4.78%. Teacher should prepare
and make them watch the Lecture 4.78%. And the teacher creates no-penalty
policies 3.48%.
This study explained the guidelines to improve teacher’s attendance and
academic performance of the students. Schedule time to move, design a study
schedule, create a physical workspace, promote healthy environment, finding
a balance between work and life, maintain constant interactions with the
teacher, participate in various seminars
