Manuscript Format Corrections

Title Page:
Use full names, but not initials, for all the authors’ names. The author’ s given name should be
written before surname, and only the first letter of surname or given name should be capitalized.
The corresponding author must be clearly indicated with an asterisk (*).
Keywords:
The first letter of the first word and proper nouns in each keyword should be capitalized.
Subsections:
Subsections should be consecutively numbered 1. (then 1.1., 1.2., 1.3., ...), 2., 3., etc. In subsection
titles, only the first letter of the first word and proper nouns should be capitalized. For example, “1.
Introduction, 2. Material and methods, 3. Results, 4. Discussion, 5. Conclusions” and “2.1. Data
collection 2.2. Modeling with Saint-Venant equations”.
Figures:
1. Please delete the figures in the main text and just put the figure titles in the proper location
(mentioning the figures for the first time) in the main text with the names Fig. 1. XXX, Fig. 2.
XXX……
2. Original figures should be in high quality with the resolution of 600 dpi and saved as
filename.tif or filename.jpg separately in the source file with the names Fig. 1, Fig. 2…
3. All figures should be in the proper size, 8 cm or 16 cm in width.
4. Use a normal, uniform font (Times New Roman, 9 points, no bold, no italics) for all the words
and numbers in all figures.
5. If there is an axis system in the figure, the coordinate line and coordinate point should be drawn
in bold.
6. Only the first letter of the first word in a phrase should be capitalized, except proper nouns.
7. If the number is larger than 1000, each group of three digits should be separated by a comma.
For instance, 1630000 should be written as 1,630,000.
Tables:
1. Please put the tables in the proper location (mentioning the tables for the first time) in the main
text with the titles as Table 1. XXX, Table 2. XXX……
2. Use a normal, uniform font (Times New Roman, 9 points, no bold, no italics) for all the words
and numbers in tables.
3. Only the first letter of the first word in a phrase should be capitalized, except proper nouns.
Citations in the main text:
1. Two or more citations within the same parentheses:
——In alphabetical order (not chronological order), as they would appear in references, separated
by semi-colons, for example (Jones, 2010; Thomas, 2003).
——If by same author, then by date, for example (Jones, 2003, 2007).
2. Use “&” when there is two-author citation in the bracket, for example (Smith & Jones, 2003).
References:
Please modify them one by one in a uniform format of International Journal of Sediment Research
(IJSR).
