Over the years, Canada has had many Prime Ministers who have been the head of
the country. In my opinion, the greatest Prime Minister out of them all would be
William Lyon Mackenzie King. He has done several great things for the country which
have greatly improved Canada. Mackenzie King took over Canada after the stock market
crash when the country was already in financial despair. He led Canada through
possibly the toughest times it has ever been through. Next, King also significantly helped
Canada achieve independence from Britain and a stronger international voice. Lastly,
Mackenzie King guided Canada through 6 years of conflict in World War II, and
surprisingly made very few errors during it. Many thought he was not well prepared but
King proved that he was a great candidate for this job.
