PHILIPPINE ARTS WITH WESTERN CLASSICAL INFLUENCE



Philippine arts reflect a diverse array of cultural influences and traditions. Arts and architecture were
strongly influenced by Roman Catholic influence , particularly during the Spanish colonial period. This
influenced religious symbolism as a traditional subject.
Philippine art forms also reflect the wide range of artistic influences on the country’s culture on
indigenous of art.
In remote areas, tribal groups have maintained and preserved their traditional art forms, which are
mainly used for such purposes as rituals to honor their deities so they could bring in a bountiful harvest.
