Bias- is a tendency to lean in a certain direction, either in favor of or against a particular thing. It maybe favor or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair. To be truly bias means to lack a neutral viewpoint on a particular topic. Somewhere along the line, bias took on a negative connotation. If you’re biased toward something, then you lean favorably toward it; you tend to think positively of it. Meanwhile, if you’re biased against something, then you lean negatively against it; you tend to think poorly of it. Common Examples of Bias : A. Gender Bias B. Prejudice- is unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought or reason. It simply means to pre-judge others. Prejudice often ends in discrimination.
