Dear Admission Committee, With this letter, I am seeking to study at University of UULM for Masters of Science (Agriculture science). I had official started studying Chemistry after receiving offer letter to study Bachelors of Engineering (Chemical – Sustainable Energy) (Honours) from University of Adelaide. Because of its numerous applications in the field of petroleum and Water treatment, I gradually acquired an interest in nanotechnology along with Polymer Science and related issues throughout my undergraduate studies. Firstly, throughout my undergraduate studies, I learned about the efforts of scientists, researchers, engineers, and technicians to develop and implement the innovation of materials. Having entered the University with no clear understanding of what materials engineering study entails, my interest grew as I was exposed to several concepts and materials. The study of Quantum Mechanics of Atoms and Molecules, Structure and Properties of Materials, Nano chemistry, and Organic & bio-organic chemistry which demonstrated to me how the structure of materials might be adjusted to create desired properties even in nanoscale, triggered an irrevocable thirst for understanding of material design and selection. My interest grew further during my internship as a Research Assistant at University of Adelaide for the Water-treatment project using Carbon-nanotubes. By referring the course curriculum provided by the UULM, I noticed that the subject content offered will best suit my career goals. Strategies for the development of new, more efficient materials at a lower cost and the evaluation of the effect of these chemicals and dependency have shown a considerable growth over these past few decades. This can be observed by the recent progress in various areas such as communication, water treatment and biotechnology. The role of polymers is predicted to increase in quantitative terms, but also to extend into new areas in which polymers have not been employed in the past. Silicon and software are legitimately most clearly associated with these advances, but other materials, including polymers, play an essential supporting role, which is growing in importance. However, due to my experience in material science and nanotechnology, I realized that my knowledge is still insufficient in many areas. In this context, I have decided to pursue a profession as a researcher to develop new production processes, develop technologies and applications at the nanoscale. It is wellknown that Germany is one of the best countries in Europe, where there are several best universities. My desire to pursue my postgraduate study emanates not only from this but also from the similarities in academic organization between my undergraduate studies in the Australia. I believe your top-level program will provide me with a deep understanding of material science for engineering application, material design, development of nanoscale industry, and manufacturing techniques, which I am particularly interested in. I am confident in my decision. With numerous eminent scientists as lecturers, I am confident that I will receive expert knowledge at cutting edge discoveries. As this letter indicates, it will be a logical next step in achieving my long-term personal and professional goals. I consider myself flexible to any situation, and I have always been successful in whatever I put my whole focus towards. I am willing to take more classes if necessary to complete the program. In order to update my knowledge and improve my learning, I have also begun a study project to familiarize myself with current advancement in technology for the production and synthesis of materials and other relevant disciplines. I believe I have a strong foundation from my work and education, but I wish to expand my knowledge and improve my professional chances by enrolling in the Master's programme. Thank you very much for taking the time to evaluate my application; I eagerly await your response. Sincerely yours, Mruddual Sojitra
