Abstract
This study is conducted empirically for portraying the in-depth information of Bangladesh
University of Professionals (Faculty of Business Studies). I have considered taking information
from the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) official website, communicating with
my classmates and respective faculties. Through this study the faculty's dedication to experiential
learning and industry participation is emphasized in the abstract. To support internships, guest
lectures, and mentorship programs for students, the Faculty of Business Studies forges strong
relationships with prominent companies, business leaders, and professional organizations. These
programs help to close the gap between academia and business, giving students useful
information, contacts, and exposure to the real world. The Faculty of Business Studies at
Bangladesh University of Professionals and their efforts to nurture a future generation of
business leaders are discussed in this abstract's conclusion. By providing comprehensive
curricula, encouraging experiential learning, promoting research and innovation, and placing a
strong emphasis on holistic development, the faculty equips students to succeed in the cutthroat
business environment while advancing Bangladesh's socioeconomic development.

Introduction
A nation's foundation is its education system. It is a fundamental social responsibility and the key
to realizing a nation's economic development potential. Everyone agrees that investing in higher
education is essential for both the present and the future growth of the nation. Around 37 public,
80 private, and 3 foreign colleges in Bangladesh currently offer higher education. With the same
vision Bangladesh University of Professionals was established on 5th June, 2008. It is the first
public university to be formed under the armed forces of Bangladesh and the 31st public
university of Bangladesh. The key objective of the creating of BUP was to merge all of the
educational facilities maintained and operated by the Bangladesh Armed Forces into a single
public university. "Excellence through knowledge" formed the core value of Bangladesh
University of Professionals' foundation in Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka. Later, Act No. 30 of 2009
(the Bangladesh University of Professionals Act, 2009) was published. Bangladesh University of
Professionals currently have Five Faculties. Faculty of Business Studies, Faculty of Arts and
Social Sciences, Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies, Faculty of Science and Technology,
Faculty of Medical Studies. Faculty of business studies started in 2009 with Curriculum on MBA
and Executive MBA. In 2010 BUP expanded its academic offer to undergraduate level and
enrolled the 1st batch of BBA General often referred to as BBA-1. Later on, 2016 subject wise
bachelors’ program was launched starting with accounting and information systems, management
studies, finance & banking, and marketing. Currently BBA General is running its 14th Batch
which is BBA-14 and the other 4 departments are running their 8th Batch.
The study is conducted to acknowledge people about one of the most prominent business school
of Bangladesh the Faculty of Business Studies of Bangladesh University of Professionals.
Section 1 focuses on introductory issues, Section 2 discusses the methodology and objective of
the study, Section 3 depicts the findings of the study; Section 4 describes the recommendations
and conclusion.
Objective
The main objective of this study is to portray the current status of Faculty of Business Studies of
Bangladesh University of Professional and to highlight some suggestions to form positive
attitude of Bangladeshi students towards one of the best business school of Bangladesh.

Literature Review
No prior studies have been conducted solely on the Faculty of Business Studies of Bangladesh
University of Professionals hence no literature review exists as of now. Hence no reference could
be provided with context to any reports published yet.
Methodology
Target Population
The target population here is mainly my faculty of Presentation Skills Development.
Sample Size
The sample here is only the aspects of Faculty of Business Studies of Bangladesh University of
Professionals.
Types of Data
The type of data here is only secondary as no survey was conducted and data was primarily
collected from the internet.

Main Part
A renowned public university in Bangladesh that provides a variety of academic programs is the
Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). The Faculty of Business Studies occupies a
significant position among its recognized faculties and is essential in developing the future
entrepreneurs and business leaders.
The Faculty of Business Studies at BUP seeks to deliver top-notch instruction, promote research
and innovation, and create professionals who can significantly impact Bangladesh's commercial
and economic environment. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs that are created to
give students the information, abilities, and moral principles needed to succeed in the fast-paced
business world.
Experts in their respective professions who have expertise and strong qualifications make up the
faculty. They enrich the learning environment for students in the classroom by bringing their
scholarly knowledge, professional experience, and research successes. The academic staff is
dedicated to supporting students' intellectual development, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial
spirit.
To keep up with the changing business world, the Faculty of Business Studies frequently updates

The total course fee for the Bachelors of Business Administration Program is BDT 1,53,000
consisting of 8 semesters with semester per year in a 4-year degree. The Masters of Business
Administration program costs around BDT 65,000 and the Masters of Business Administration
(Professional) costs BDT 208,500.
The faculty supports active participation by students in extracurricular activities outside of the
classroom, such as case contests, business simulations, seminars, workshops, and industrial
tours. These activities give students the chance to put their academic knowledge to use in
practical settings, hone their problem-solving abilities, and grow as leaders.
The Faculty of Business Studies places a strong emphasis on research and encourages teachers
and students to work on business studies-related initiatives of their own. This area of study helps
to the progress of knowledge in the field, encourages innovation, and improves comprehension
of current business concerns.
In addition, the faculty keeps up ties and collaborations with top academic institutions, business
people, and organizations on a national and worldwide level. These partnerships give academic
staff and students access to various viewpoints, industry best practices, and chances for
internships, guest lectures, and research partnerships.
To summarize, the Faculty of Business Studies at the Bangladesh University of Professionals is
committed to providing top-notch business education, promoting research and innovation, and
creating qualified professionals who can promote sustainable development and economic
prosperity. With its knowledgeable staff, thorough curriculum, emphasis on hands-on learning,
and research-centered approach, the faculty equips students to succeed in Bangladesh's and other
countries' dynamic and demanding business environments.
Along with academic excellence students are doing well in the sports segment and business
competition segments as well with prominent results in Inter University Cricket and Football
competition. Achieving top 3 position in Battle of Minds organized by British American Tobacco
and securing the top spot in Bizmaestros organized by Unilever Bangladesh.

Conclusion
Conclusively this study has employed to identify the in-depth details of Faculty of Business
Studies of Bangladesh University of Professionals. This study has shown the various
departments it has along with the sports and business competition achievements of the students
of Faculty of Business Studies. The students hold a prominent place in the job industry with
honorable positions in top notch multinational companies like British American Tobacco,
Unilever Bangladesh, Bkash, MGH Group, Marico Bangladesh and many more. Being
established in 2008 with only 15 years education industry and only 5 batches being graduated it
is competing neck to neck with the likes of country leading university like North South
University and IBA, University of Dhaka. I wish Faculty of Business Studies, Bangladesh
University of Professionals all the best going forward.
