Introducción • In the Article on Law we earned that there is an eternal plan for the ordering or government of all acts and movements in the universe, and that this plan directs things towards their last end. 01 Lectura Analysis TWO KINDS OF NORM OF MORALITY ETERNAL LAW CONSCIENCE What is Eternal Law? • Eternal Law is the Divine Wisdom of God which oversees the common good and governs everything. What is Conscience? • Conscience is an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one’s behavior. 02 Lectura Analysis WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP OF THIS TWO NORMS OF MORALITY? SUMMARY: • Summing the matter up, we say that the Norm of Morality, is remotely and ultimately (but primarily), the Eternal Law. • While proximately (but secondarily) it is conscience. • In reality, then there are not two norms but only one.
