Generative AI has always been something that excites me since the field is so broad and has seen massive leaps in development over the past year alone. In my knowledge of generative AI, I believe that it is an AI language model that is able to generate unique information whether that is images, text, etc. The fascinating thing about Generative AI is its capability to self-learn and adapt as more information is given to it, which is why AI language models like ChatGPT seem so natural when using them. ChatGPT, which has been a hot topic in the tech industry for the last few years, is one of the biggest examples of Generative AI. Up until recently, it was running on GPT-3 which was an older engine and had lesser capabilities. For example, in GPT 3, ChatGPT only had access to information up until the year 2021. Now with the new GPT 4 engine, the possibilities for ChatGPT are endless since it now has access to the internet. It is also “Multimodel” which means it can take text and images. It is also better at outputting less misleading and incorrect information which was a big problem with the old language model.
