CONNVERSATION 10/24 Scenario 1 – Go over and above Babi: I can't believe we have to do this again. Hutan: I know, but if we want to get ahead, we have to go over and above. Babi: But why can't they just appreciate what we do? Hutan: Because they're always looking for ways to improve, and if we want to keep our jobs, we have to show them that we're willing to do whatever it takes. Babi: I guess you're right. Hutan: Of course I am. Now let's get to work. Scenario 2 – crush Michael: Hey Shawn, I'm sorry I didn't crush my sales target this month. Shawn: Yeah, that's a bummer. What happened? Michael: I was close, but I just couldn't close the last few deals. Shawn: Well, it's not the end of the world. You'll get them next month. Michael: Yeah, I know. I'm just a little disappointed in myself. Shawn: Don't be too hard on yourself. You're doing great. Scenario 3 – Pay off Michael: I can't believe we finally get to relax. It feels like we've been working non-stop for months. Shawn: I know. I'm just glad that it's all over and we can finally enjoy our hardearned vacation. Michael: Yeah, it was definitely a lot of work, but it was worth it. I think we can both agree that our hard work paid off in the end. Shawn: Absolutely. I don't think I've ever worked so hard in my life, but it was definitely worth it. I'm just glad that it's all over and we can finally enjoy our vacation. Scenario 4 – rapport Michael: Hey Shawn, what's up? Shawn: Not much, what's up with you? Michael: I was just thinking about how we've been working together for a while now and I feel like we have a pretty good rapport. Shawn: Yeah, I would say so. I feel like we understand each other pretty well. Michael: Yeah, I think so too. I think that's important in a working relationship, don't you think? Shawn: Absolutely. I think it makes things a lot smoother when we're on the same page. Michael: Yeah, I definitely agree. I think we have a good thing going here.
