Right from a young age, I had access to computers, which was the very first reason why I
became attached to and curious about the technology of computers. In the beginning,
instead of playing games or watching movies, I was interested in how the metal box with
some parts worked. One day I picked up a screwdriver and opened the computer. My initial
impression was that there was something alive in the case that allowed it to work. But to my
surprise, there were a few cables and a tiny chip, one tiny chip. Looking at the sight of a tiny
thing running things like complex calculations, games, websites and other applications was
an event that became the foundation of my journey toward computers. However, I was
inexperienced. Nevertheless, my mentor my father taught me a lot about computer
technology hardware. This strengthened my bond towards pursuing more information
about computers. As I advanced in years, I used to visit my father’s office, where he taught
me how to repair computers and some technical knowledge regarding electronics. That is
what provoked me to pursue a bachelor’s in computer science and engineering.
Study Background:
Ever since my childhood, I was greeted by growing technologies that were unthinkable to
invent from my perspective. I was always curious about how these technologies are created
and used for the benefit of the people. Because my own life has been significantly
accompanied by the uproar of modern computer technology, I have noticed that there are
still formidable developments yet to come in this field. Naturally, I chose Computer Science
and Engineering as my undergraduate program, and currently, after completing my
undergraduate studies, it is my leading objective to continue my studies in a more
competitive and international environment.
During my engineering, I was often selected as a team leader for projects due to my ability
to manage time and the team. I was everlastingly charmed by the self-driving technology
which was implemented in consumer cars by Elon Musk. He admitted that developing a safe
and reliable self-driving car is very difficult. This notion backed up my final year project, as
my team and I decided to develop a traffic-sign detection and recognition algorithm. Our
goal was to create an algorithm for the automatic recognition of traffic signs. Two major
problems existed in the process of detection, as road signs are frequently blocked partially
by-passing vehicles and pedestrians. Apart from that, our team managed to make an
algorithm that detects the location of the sign in the image based on its geometric
characteristics and recognizes it using color information. Throughout the test, our algorithm
maintained accuracy of 98%.
In addition to receiving a certificate of excellence in my second semester, I have been very
active outside my classes, performing extracurricular activities. I have participated in an
annual trade festival event in which we had to set up a shop from scratch and make a profit
from it. I was the leader of the group in which we decided to sell handcrafted jewellery and
handmade portraits. The idea was a super hit, and we had a good amount of attraction at

the event. The most valuable thing I learned from this experience was good communication,
honesty, and innovative thinking are the most weighted qualities of a leader. Being a leader,
it was a tough job to be assertive and kind at the same time.
Working as an Intern:
Moving on, I have worked as an intern at Alite Projects which specializes in IT services like
Software Development, Web Designing, Web Development, Mobile App Development,
Search Engine Optimization, and Social Media Marketing. While working there I learned tons
of qualities like Time management, teamwork, Professionalism, Strategic thinking, and
Industry Knowledge. My role in the firm was to code in various languages to make a
webpage.
I am also working as a freelancer on an online firm called Fiverr. Currently, I am freelancing
as a motion designer and motion editor which requires me to use applications like Adobe
After Effects and Adobe Photoshop to edit and add motion to still images. I have developed
good proficiency in using these applications and learned the importance of communication.
I have to constantly convey my ideas to people from different countries and time zones.
Motivation and Career Goals:
I am fully aware of the kind of dedication, resolve and determination needed to apply and
complete a graduate program. I believe that I have the determination to walk this path and I
am fully committed to gaining more knowledge in the field of Data Science. I want to pursue
further education in my field to gain more knowledge at the Koblenz Landau University. I
believe Data Science is impacting the future of every industry and every person. It is the
main technology behind other Internet technologies that deals with vast volumes of data
using modern tools and techniques to find unseen patterns, derive meaningful information,
and make business decisions
I believe pursuing a Masters’s degree in Data Science will help me receive the necessary
knowledge to create technologies that can help mankind in the future. I believe getting
admission to your prestigious university will improve my skills regarding major leading
technologies that help create a better world. I would like to end my statement with a
request to the admission committee to allow me to study in this master’s degree program.
