where ( 0.0 <= VALUE <= 1.0 ) in the data type
and value range specified by the MIN and MAX

OUT = VALUE (MAX - MIN) + MIN
SCALE_X parameter VALUE should be restricted to (0.0 <= VALUE <= 1.0)
