Scope of Work
Deployment of file encryption solution on a File Server and SharePoint Online using Microsoft
Purview Information Protection (MIP) and Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB).
➢ Use Case Identification:
• Conduct a workshop to identify specific use cases for file encryption.
• Define success criteria for the project based on identified use cases.
➢ Solution Design:
• Design the file encryption solution using Microsoft Purview Information Protection and
Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB).
• Create a high-level design documentation for the solution.
• Obtain approval for the high-level design from relevant stakeholders.
➢ Deploy Rights Management Encryption Policies:
• Deploy encryption policies using Microsoft Information Protection (MIP).
• Create custom encryption templates based on policy requirements provided by EMAAR.
➢ MIP Scanner Configuration:
• Configure MIP scanner to automatically encrypt files in up to five data repositories.
• Assuming MIP scanners are already in place.
➢ CASB File Encryption Policies:
• Deploy file encryption policies using Defender for Cloud Apps.
• Implement policies for up to five SharePoint repositories, based on policy requirements
from EMAAR.
➢ User Acceptance Testing:
• Conduct user acceptance tests on File Servers with up to 10 sample encrypted files.
• Conduct user acceptance tests on SharePoint Online with up to 10 sample encrypted
files.
➢ Production Enablement and Post-Deployment Support:
• Enable the solution in the production environment.
• Provide post-deployment support for up to two weeks to address any issues or concerns.
➢ Configuration Document and Handover:
• Create a detailed configuration document outlining the setup and configurations.
• Conduct a handover session to operations teams to ensure they understand the
solution's functioning and management.
➢ Project Closure:
• Complete the project, close all associated tasks which include diagram and
documentation activities within 2 weeks.
