How to properly save projects with Fantasia Archive
So, many people, (including me) have experienced the dreaded "nested folder" issue when working on
their FA project. This is quite understandable, and something Elvanos will attempt to fix with FA 2.0.
In the meantime, I will offer a tutorial here for old and new users on how to save your project properly
in the program, in order to avoid this issue:
Proper approach
Step 1
First off, to save your project, click the "Save Current Project" button under the "Project" menu.
Step 2
Now make sure you are in the folder/directory where you wish to store your worlds. (I use Windows 10
so apologies if the UI for this looks different for you) After this you click the "Select Folder" button and
the project will save.
Wrong approach and what to avoid
Now what you don't want to do, is to click the actual world folder OR go inside of it, as shown in the
example pictures below:
If you save your world like that, it's going to make another folder inside of your original world folder
(this could theoretically be done infinitely if you keep making the same saving mistake), and this may
lead to the loss/disorientation of your content, which will lead to Fantasia Archive not being able to load
your world - Which is obviously not a particularly good thing.
Examples of this mistake being made and how it should therefore not look, is shown here:
And that concludes the tutorial! I hope it was helpful, and if you already encountered this issue before
this guide, you might be able to ask Elvanos for a bit of help to fix it. :)
And if you have any other problems or questions, don't be shy to ask us!
Thank you for reading!
