Juan Dela Cruz – the person who is accused of killing Jane Santos. 2. Jane Santos-the victim and former girlfriend of Juan Dela Cruz. 3. Anne Santos- the mother of Jane Santos who filed the case for murder against Juan Dela Cruz. 3. FACTS OF THE CASE On November 7, 2012, Jane Santos was on his way home from work. She came across Juan Dela Cruz, a former boyfriend. A heated conversation occurred between them and Juan stabbed Jane in the heart. She was rushed to the hospital by a bystander but was pronounced dead on arrival. 4. ISSUE Whether or not Juan Dela Cruz is guilty of homicide JUDICIAL DECISION The Supreme Court finds Juan Dela Cruz guilty of homicide. The killing was done in a fit of anger and without the attendance of any of the circumstances that would elevate the crime to murder. There was proof beyond reasonable doubt that Juan Dela Cruz killed Jane Santos. This was witnessed and narrated by the bystander who rushed Jane Santos to the hospital, during trial.
