God’s love and willingness for hard work through it.
Chess Teacher & Club Chess Tournament Director – New York City, NY & Litchfield, CT (08/2019-Present)
I started playing chess at the age of seven in the school chess club at the Hewi School in New York City. By the age of ten, I
was playing in ten to twenty tournaments a year in New York City and at all the major na onal events each year. I have won
several tournaments in my short career and earned numerous runner-up tles ranging from 2nd-6th place. My highest
ranking was 1400 FIDE and was recognized as a top under 12 female players in 2016.
As a way to give back to my community and to empower girls to learn chess, I created a chess coaching business to teach
children chess. If requested, I provide chess lessons to children throughout the summers in Litch eld. In the summer of
2022, I received my Club Tournament Director License which allowed me to spectate and oversee chess tournaments within
a club se ng. The following year, I began working with Chess NYC to help run tournaments by se ng up chess boards,
pairing games between players, overseeing the games themselves, and playing if a bye was administered.
SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Columbia Pre-College Programs – Summer Immersion, New York City (Summer 2021 & 2022)
I a ended two classes through the Columbia University Pre-College Program: Human Rights in the 21st century: Challenges
in Interna onal Law and Advocacy and Cons tu onal Law. As a result, I was able to study and delve into the expansive
world of legal advocacy and its intricate workings within society.
Paideia Ins tute High School Program – Learning La n in Rome and Learning Greek in Greece (08/2022)
I spent a month in Rome and Greece learning classical languages to supplement my exis ng knowledge of Ancient Greek
and La n. Throughout my me with Paideia, I a ended classes with my peers and traveled to ancient sites while also
reading texts corresponding to those markers of history.
