
a gravity type retaining wall composed of alternating compacted fill and
reinforcement attached to a facing that prevents erosion

its stability mechanism relies on the interaction (friction and tensile forces)
between the fill and the reinforcement, and it provides better aesthetics and
performance under seismic loadings than RC retaining walls
TYPES OF MSE WALL FACING:

Natural Vegetation

Gabion Wall

Precast Panel

recent advances in materials and manufacturing technology have made
possible for PGATECH to reinforce MSE fills with HDPE E’Grid Uniaxial Geogrids

Geogrids provide a larger amount of soil coverage within the reinforced zone,
and does not corrode unlike the conventional metal strips reinforcement


Bearing Capacity Analysis

soil nailing is a practical and proven technique that serves as a means of
passively reinforcing the soil to make it more stable by reinforcing the ground
with small diameter rebars known as "nails“ protected with a structural facing

if soil nailing is inadequate per design requirements, PGATECH also offers
ground anchoring as an alternative solution

applications: excavation protection, slope stabilization, and retaining walls
TYPES OF STRUCTURAL FACING:




Shotcreting

Natural Vegetation
PGATECH engineers use licensed limit equilibrium software for slope stability
analysis, where slopes are analyzed under static and dynamic conditions


Typical Soil Nailing Section
in addition to our design optimization schemes that aimed to find a balance
between speed, ease of construction, and cost, PGATECH’s specialized set of
equipment for soil nailing also results in flexibility in any job site condition, as
well as faster installation, thus shortening project schedules

a ground improvement solution that has been used worldwide as an alternative
to deep foundation piles with over 12,100 successfully completed projects

the RAP technology involves the installation of columnar elements into weak
ground by ramming aggregates in layers to pre-stress and pre-strain the
surrounding soil to mobilize and increase its bearing capacity and reduce its
compressibility

the stiffened Geopier elements and the improved matrix soils provides a
reinforced composite zone to support large loads at a fraction of the cost of
conventional deep foundations such as driven or bored piles


a highly specialized and developed procedure based on jet grouting techniques
that has been widely used as a method of ground improvement due to its rapid
and easy-installation process, load carrying capability, and applicability to a
diverge range of soil conditions

the advantage and the technical superiority of JSP over the conventional jet
grouting is in its specialized nozzle design which utilizes the "double fluid
system“, making penetration and fracturing of the soil mass effective resulting to
a pile diameter that ranges from 0.80m to 1.2m, depending on the type of soil

it is most suited for underpinning of building particularly where tight working
conditions are prevalent
