The AirScale Subrack (AMIA) main properties:
• IP20 ingress protected
• Operating temperature range: from -5°C to +55°C
• Can be installed inside a 19-inch wide rack or cabinet
• Can be stacked on top of each other.
The AirScale Subrack AMIA includes:
• Subrack frame
• Backplane for high bandwidth interconnect between
• AirScale Common and
• AirScale Capacity plug-in units
• Fans with changeable airflow direction (by rotating fans).
• Default direction is front-to-back.
• Blind-units to prevent cooling airflow leakage

AirScale AMOB Description
Second Heater Assembly
NOTE:
AMOB has one heater factory assembled. Second heater is required for cold start
(from -40°C to -5°C in around one hour).

Action
1
Assemble the second heater (P339354) to the bracket assembly
(088956A). Use a Torx T20 tool to fasten two M4 pan head screws
through rear clearance holes in heater to standoffs on bracket
assembly.
Tighten screws to 2.2Nm torque.

Slide the second heater into the AMOB, aligning the two right angle
fasteners on the AMOB divider plate with the two M4 captive screws
on the bracket. Use Torx T20 tool to fasten the two M4 captive
screws to the right-angle fasteners.
Tighten screws to 2.2Nm torque.

Loop the heater cable around the bracket and insert
the connector into the second heater receptacle on PDU.
