Replacement Charger Policy TECH TREATS Sept/Oct 2022 Thank you for your patience in this matter. When to Report Damage At the end of the 2022 school year, our amazing student interns created a crash course in damage assessment. The video offers an overview on identifying damage and informs the viewer when they should report damage to their IT team with helpdesk ticket. Is your tech giving you a headache? Please submit a ticket through our Helpdesk before calling us directly! Email helpdesk@gpsd.us with: Your name Your school and grade level A description of the problem Remember to check your email for messages from helpdesk@gpsd.us, as we may send a reply message through the ticketing system itself. As some of you have encountered, the batteries on the 3390 staff laptops have begun to fail and are not holding a charge while off the charger. Batteries are not covered by our warranty and we will be phasing out these devices next year - if your laptop is not holding a charge, please understand you may be given a different laptop model to get you through the year. A student who has lost their charger must replace it. As the schools no longer sell replacement chargers, you will need to turn in a charger in June along with your laptop or pay a fine. For more details, visit the department website or scan the QR code to the left. Ticket Submissions and your building tech will get back to you promptly.
