NARRATIVE REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE, 2015 Kinder and Grade One Teachers Quality Circle The Kinder and Grade One Teachers had their Teachers Quality Circle last June 26, 2015, Friday at 1:30 pm. We start our quality circle with a prayer led by Mrs. Dessie D. Ignacio, then followed by a short message with our assigned Master Teacher Ms. Renelyn U. Cale. Discussed the problems encountered during the opening of classes School year 2015 – 2016 Here are some problems mentioned by the Kinder and Grade One teachers. Pupils wanted to stay with their parents inside the classroom. Some pupils had short span of attention. Some pupils wanted their teachers to do their works. Some pupils without Kindergarten tend to cry inside the room. Mam Renelyn U. Cale and my co-grade level gave suggestions/solutions to the problems encountered during the opening of classes SY 2015-2016 like: Teachers should talk/seek help to the parents of those pupils who cried inside the classroom. Pupils who have behavioural problems, teachers in charge ask the help of the guidance counsellor. Teachers should give writing lesson especially for those pupils can’t write legibly. Teachers in Kinder and Grade One should focus more on reading lesson and sounding of letters. Teachers should give rewards or incentives for those who can do their works so that they will have initiative to do their works. These suggestions/recommendations will help determine the weaknesses of our pupils and address students need. Attendance: 1. Dorris V. Abina _____________ 2. Dessie D. Ignacio _____________ 3. Ms. Renelyn U. Cale, our presiding officer reviewed to us the KRAs namely: Teaching/Learning Process, Pupils/ Students Outcomes, Community Involvement, and Professional Growth and Development. We agreed to come up with the percentage on each KRA’s. The Kinder and Grade One Teachers gave their suggested indicators based on the objectives being given. Ms. Cale stated that we should choose the objectives which are fitted to us. Teaching/Learning Process provides the appropriate, adequate and updated instructional material, using varied activities to attain the teaching/learning process of the pupils. Pupils/ students Outcomes monitor and evaluate the pupil’s progress, keeping and maintained updated school records. Community involvement participation of teachers in any civic activities in the community. Professional Growth and Development involves the growth and development of the individual, seminar, trainings enhancement, mentoring, continuing graduate studies etc. This RPMS will be a great help to us to identify the strengths, weaknesses and how to be a more productive and effective teacher. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. LACATAN Grade Leader in Grade One NARRATIVE REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST, 2015 Asatidz, Kinder, and Grade One Teachers Quality Circle August 11, 2015 It is really fantastic to witness the unity and dedication of Asatidz, Kinder, and Grade One teachers who were able to join our devoted and hard working Master Teacher to apprise us with some important momento so that we’ll be guided and organized on the things that we need to perform as educators. Mam Jinky led the opening prayer to lift up to God all the things to be discussed . We’re so blessed that our dearest and respected principal Mrs. Wilma P. Soriano was there and gave us remarkable inspiration and encouragement . She never stopped from persuading us to upgrade our skills not only for the sake of promotion and high compensation but for our own growth and develpoment. During the meeting Mam Renelyn gave us a revised Teachers Observation Checklist and and as a result, we’ll be more mindful and sophisticated to render an excellent job to mold and fabricate the total individual personality of our students. We need to keep a record of our pupils values so that it would be easier for us to rate them once we refer to the Descriptors and Indicators of Observed Values. We have to bear in mind to be objective in giving the right mark to avoid partiality. Mam Renelyn had shown her aptness on Strategic Intervention Materials For Reading and she even summon us to think and make our own Reading materials. We should never give up on exploring and making some innovations on creating helpful techniques and strategies in teaching reading. We have to feel and sense the needs of those who have difficulty in reading and it would be a big aid for them to aggrandize their reading and comprehension skills. Our fellow muslim workers received their copy of Teachers Pesonal Data Sheet and this would serve as a legitimate information about them as employees of Palatiw Elementary School. Mam Renelyn mentioned that on August 22, 2015 there will be a KABSAYAHAN and our pupils must be registered to the BOY SCOUT OF THE PHILIPPINES. Ms. Andrea Balanni will be attending a KAB SCOUT BTC with Ᵽ1,500.00 registration fee..We have to take note of August 27 as Buwan Ng Wika Program and there will be a special activity on the said date.. Mam Cale ended the meeting expressing her heartfelt thanks to everyone. Prepared by: Noted: RENELYN U. CALE Master Teacher In-Charge in Grade One MARISSA D. CALE Master Teacher In-Charge of Kinder and Gr – One Teachers NARRATIVE REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, 2015 December 9, 2015 Teachers are opted to meliorate their God given endowments in the field of teaching so that they can percolate excellently, hence to master their unique and special craft in nurturing and moulding the minds of young kids they have to engage themselves on an extensive qolloquium. Indeed, it’s fascinating to recognize that Grade One faculty have the sizzling desire for self development and agreed to have a monthly teacher’s quality circle. Ms. Renelyn Cale’s presence and endless support gave us the courage to immerse ourselves to mentor one another and we’re assigned to confabulate certain topics to share with our co-teachers. The first meeting was on December 9,2015 at teacher Dessie’s room. Teacher Dessie was the first speaker and she talked about Motivations; She cited about the meaning, components, and theories of motivation. As teachers we have to be properly motivated both intrinsically and extrinsically so that we can relinquish our very best to teach our students. Our strong passion will direct us to be more persistent on spurring our desires for growth. We’re so fortunate that our beloved principal keeps on exhilarating us to make headway and constantly giving ample incentives for us to aspire for self promotion and for personal enrichment. But we have to be mindful also that we play as the motivators or movers of our pupils for them to act towards their goal to learn. We need to surmise effective strategies to envigorate theminnately and integrally so that they can have positive behavior and able to perform their tasks well. Our next mentor was teacher Dorris and expotulated about Emotions, She defined its meaning, how to control, and cited the components and classifications of emotions. As educators we should posses a positive emotional intelliegence so that we can manage our emotions. We’ll be more aware of ourselves in recognizing our own feelings and capable of handling other people’s emotions. We can alleviate burn-out, can face extra challenges with vigor and optimistic attitude. There is a job satisfaction and proactive in coping up with stress. We can be more effective in carrying out quality teaching learning process in the classroom and for the social development of our students. Let us help build the nations by fostering a healthy environment with teachers who are caring, knowledgeable, motivators, inspirators, and worthy classroom manager. Our third coach was teacher Michelle and noted about growth, development, heredity and maturation. We should always regard and believe that our students grow and develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially by supplying a creative and stimulative environment. We should never get tired on enhancing and fortifying the skills, talents and capabilites of every child in our class, nevertheless no one should be left behind. Every individual is entitled to flourish where he/she is planted including us as educationists. The last but not the least, we had teacher Jinky. She enlightened us with her topic about memory and forgetting. She had drawn off by defining some terms, stated the phases of memory, and improving the memory. We have a problem on retrieving information, failure to store a long term facts or data, and fulfillling a multi-tasking job that snatches our ability to focus. Thank you to our high technology because it serves as an essential aid to boost our memory. Just go to the internet and google what you are looking for and there you are,you got what you need. Isn’t it fascinating! The most vital way to remember is to allow our brain to work.We need to exercise, get enough sleep, relax, prioritize which one must be done first, and reduce stress. Since we are tasked to train our students we need to assist them to improve their memory skills so that whatever we teach, it will retain in their brain. We have to meet with different current methods and approaches on catering the mental faculties of every learner in our class. Mam Cale wrapped up the session by acknowledging the teachers efforts and told them that it was a commendable output, What she liked most was the report on memory and forgetting. Our get together ended with honoring the speakers by presenting them certificates and teacher Renelyn was humble enough to express her warmth gratitude to all the participants.
