Hadith No. 2626, Abu Hurairah narrates that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said :-
“The guests of Allah are three: The Ghazi
(i.e. the warrior who fights in Jihad), the
Hajj (i.e. the pilgrim who performs Hajj)
and the Mu’tamir (i.e. the pilgrim performing
Umrah).”
Ihram Preparation:
Ihram Preparation:
Before entering the state of Ihram, ensure you are
Physically Purified (Remove all un wanted Hair & Nails
etc. Should be in a state of complete ablution (Wudu).
Men wear the two pieces of white seamless cloth (No
Pins and Buttons), while women follow their respective
modest attire without covering their faces and hands.
Niyyah (intension):
At the designated Miqat point (boundary of Haram),
recite the Niyyah (intention) in your heart to begin the
Umrah. State your purpose and express your devotion to
Allah.
When making the intention of Ihram, a pilgrim first needs
to pray two Rakahs. One should recite Surat al-Kafirun
for the first rakah after Fatihah and Surat al-Ikhlas for
the second Rakah
Niyyah (intension):
Once this is done, the pilgrim must face Qibla and say:
O Allah, I intend to perform Umrah. ”Allahumma Innee
Ureedul Umrata fa-Yassirhaa lee wa Taqabbal-haa
Minnee. O Allah, I intend to perform Umrah, so accept
it from me and make it easy for me.
(Note:-Shower and Two Rakahs Prayer can be done in
advance at their rooms or designated places, if
available).
The things which are forbidden in ihram
It seems like various prohibitions and rules associated with the state of Ihram
(which allowed normally) in Islam. Here's a breakdown of each point:
Shaving the Head & Body: Shaving the head & Any hair of Body while in Ihram is
generally prohibited for both men and women, as it's seen as a violation of the sanctity
of the pilgrimage. Must take care of falling hairs, by our acts.
Using Perfume: The use of perfume or scented products is generally prohibited during
the state of Ihram, whether applied to the body, clothes, or any other way.
Intercourse and Touching with Desire: Sexual relations and intimate acts, including
touching one's spouse with desire, are prohibited while in Ihram. This is to maintain a
state of purity and devotion during the pilgrimage.
Killing Game (Hunting): Hunting or killing animals while in Ihram is not allowed, as it
contradicts the principle of sanctity and non-violence during this sacred time.
Clothing Restrictions for Men: Men are prohibited from wearing certain types of
stitched or sewn clothing like shirts, hooded robes, trousers, turbans, and leather
slippers in Ihram.
Niqab for Women: Women are forbidden from wearing the Niqab, a face veil
that covers everything except the eyes, while in Ihram.
Talbiyah:
Upon entering Ihram, continuously recite the Talbiyah:
"Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaika Laa Shareeka
Laka Labbaik, Innal Hamda Wan Ni'mata Laka Wal
Mulk, Laa Shareeka Lak.
" It means, "Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am,
You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise, grace,
and sovereignty belong to you. You have no partner."
Arrival in Masjid al-Haram:
Once in Makkah, Perform Tawaf Fardh. Enter the Masjid al-Haram with your
right foot for Tawaf
(You have to mentally prepare for the huge size &crowed of the Masjid Al Haram prior to enter the Mataf)
Tawaf:
Perform Tawaf around the Kaaba seven times in a
counter-clockwise direction. Men are encouraged
to walk briskly in the first three rounds if possible.
Thawaf will Start from Hajar Al Aswad Line and
Recite Niyyah of Tawaf with Raised Right Hand
facing to Hajar Al Aswad.
Recite the Dhikr & Dua (Refer the Dhikr )
Maqam Ibrahim :
Maqam Ibrahim :
After the completion of Tawaf, offer two Rak'ahs
of prayer behind Maqam Ibrahim, if possible.
Most Probably there wont be, offer the prayer
anywhere within the Holy Masjid al-Haram.
(After the completion of Seven Rounds. You can
try to touch Holly Kaaba during you additional
round)
Sa'i:
Sa'i:
Proceed to perform Sa'i, which involves walking seven times
between the hills of Safa and Marwa. Begin at Safa and end at
Marwa.
Remembering the story of Sayyidna: Ibrahim(A) Haajar (RA) and
Isma'il (AS) during this act.
Recite the Dhikr & DUA
Men will Brisk walk Green Lighted Area, If possible
Trimming/Cutting Hair:
After Completing “Sa'I”, men are required
to either shave their heads completely or
trim their hair. For women, it is
recommended to cut a small portion of
their hair. (Cut hair from 3 parts will be OK).
This also marks the end of Ihram and its
restrictions.
Additional Umrah:
If you wish perform more Umrah, repeat
the entire process.
However, for each additional Umrah, you
must exit from Haram Area and travel to
Miqat.
Masjid Aisha (RA), Taneem is nearest for Ihram
(Niyyah)
Tawaf al-Widaa:
After completing all the Umrah rituals, perform
Tawaf al-Widaa, also known as the Farewell Tawaf.
This significant ritual marks your farewell to the
Kaaba and the sacred land of Makkah as you
conclude your pilgrimage.
Throughout your Umrah journey, remember to continuously
engage in Dhikr, Dua, and seek forgiveness from Allah. The
pilgrimage is a time of spiritual cleansing and devotion to
Allah, so embrace every moment with sincerity and humility.
