B.DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITY
1.Presentation
The teacher introduce the topic by defining the difference between
biases and prejudices. Give Different examples that can differentiate
them.
1.BIAS is a tendency to look in a certain way, either in favor of or against a particular
thing. It may be a favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with
another, usually in a way considered to be unfair.
Examples: 1.Female teachers give more attention to girls.
2. A worker being fired because of his religion.

2. PREJUDICE - Prejudice is a preconceived affective feeling towards a person or
group member based solely on his or her group membership. The word is often used
to refer to preconceived, usually unfavorable, feelings towards a person or people
because of their sex, gender, beliefs, values, social class, age, disability, religion,
sexuality, race/ethnicity, language, nationality, beauty, occupation, education,
criminality, sport team affiliation or other personal characteristics

2. Activity
Students will determine the different situation or statement that states biases and
prejudices. The teacher will instruct the Male students to stand if the statement is
BIAS and the Female students if the statement is PREJUDICE.
1.In other Christian sectors, the preacher position is only given to males and
not to females.
2. Sectarian schools only accept students who share the same religious beliefs.
3. Some churches don’t accept women who wear pants instead of dresses or
skirts during their services
4. Not hiring someone because of their age and gender.
5. Assuming someone is a gay because of the way she acts.

The teacher will read the two scenarios and let the students determine if the
statement is Bias or Prejudice .The teacher will ask the students the following

task/topic to be performed.
c. The students will be given 2 minutes to prepare.
d. After performing, let students identify if the situation they performed
or written is bias or prejudice by writing it in a paper and post it on
the board.
