“Alrighty, lets talk about something that I have been kind of obsessing over in the past few weeks. Birds.
I know that you mommy aren’t too keen on the idea of having a bird in the house, its more
responsibility, its more noise, its more chaos in general which I understand. In the past few weeks I have
been feeding the dogs, helping walk the dogs or even do that on my own, I’ve picked up toys and
messes they’ve made, played with them and kept them occupied. So, how does that relate to getting a
bird, well it shows that I definitely could be responsible for a bird, and trust me when I say, they don’t
need walks! Mommy, you’ve seen first-hand that the African Greys really are quiet birds, obviously it
would make noise but not much at all, there’s no such thing as a silent bird but like I said, and like
you’ve seen, they really don’t! One of the things that you told me was that, do you really want a bird if
you don’t know what they are like, and after visiting them I concluded, that yes I do very much like birds.
Another one of your concerns is when I go to college, what happens with the bird, well I assure you that
you wont be keeping the bird, I don’t know what I’ll do, but I can say for certain that it wont be living
with you. If you have any other questions, ask them now, if you don’t I’ll let you two talk, and really, I
mean really think about it. I don’t care if it takes a hour, a day, a week, well maybe a little, but you get
what I’m saying. Take your time.”
