Begin with classroom routine:
a. Prayer;
b. Reminder of the classroom health and safety protocols;
c. Checking of the attendance; and
d. Ask the students how are they and what they feel.
A. Motivation (Engage)
The teacher will write a quotation on the board and will ask the students about
their opinion on the quotation: “Do not judge the book by its cover”
Guided Questions:
1. What does the quotation imply?
2. Why are we not allowed to judge easily one another?
3. Do we need to practice this quotation anytime and anywhere?
B. Discussion of concepts (Explore)
 The teacher will now discuss the topic about note taking by reading
the short story entitled “Always Delay Judgement”
 The teacher will ask the class to read the story altogether. (Group
Reading)
 Then will ask one volunteer from the class to read the short once
again loud and clear. (Individual Reading)
 The teacher will also discuss the kinds of noun specifically
common and proper noun.

The teacher will now ask the students to read silently the short story and
require them to take note of the following important details that could help
them understand the story.
D. Application and Generalization (Elaborate)
The teacher will now group the class into three pairs. Each group will need to
find 5 words on the short story entitled “Always Delay Judgement” then the
students will find the meaning of the words on their dictionary.
