This piece pays tribute to the following individuals: First, I want to express my gratitude to the All-Powerful God for providing me with guidance and the strength I need to carry out my duties during the immersion. I am grateful to him for keeping me secure for the duration of my working immersion days. I worry that I won't be able to finish the immersion without his guide. My grateful thanks go out to my devoted parents, who were always there for me when I needed their help and who constantly encouraged me to give it my all. The subject matter expert who placed me in the registration office, Ms. Mohjana Felia, was the one who gave me the supplies I'll need for our work immersion. To help me do the tasks I have to complete in the office, Sir Angelo Maulion's guidance is something I would want to acknowledge. He provided me with the guidelines I need to follow in order to do my assignment thoroughly. He supplied me with sufficient instructions to finish my assignment, therefore I'm grateful for that. I must also express my gratitude to Ma'am Anabelle Fampo-Ida for enabling us to work in the registrar's office and for providing me with the things I needed to learn as a student to accomplish in a work immersion. I am thankful that she gave my companion and I some wisdom that we can apply as we go through life. Last but not least, a big thank you to my fellow students who also complete their work immersion in the registrar office for the friendships we forged and the tales we exchanged. The fact that I have any of them as companions helps me forget the difficulties I have at work, for which I am incredibly grateful. INTRODUCTION When I hear the phrase "work immersion," the word "skill enhancement" immediately comes to mind. I often ponder why students require something like this. Why is it necessary for students like me to perform this action? Does working in a new environment actually improve our skills? Will it be really advantageous to all students? Most importantly, I want to know if work immersion will help me become ready for college. When I began my job immersion, those queries have their answers. One way that teachers can provide their students the opportunity to apply what they have learned in class and experience real job is through work immersion. It also enables us to acquire knowledge and skills that are applicable in the workplace. Additionally, it offers chances to practice utilizing genuine tools, equipment, and papers while practicing the techniques of a certain work. In the registrar's office at Romblon State University, our subject teacher sends me. My fellow classmates and I are guided in performing various tasks inside the office by our supervisor. Because I was a rookie, I was really worried of making mistakes on the first day of my Immersion. I was also particularly afraid while I was speaking with our supervisor. It dawned on me at that point that I needed to demonstrate my ability to be firm, adaptable, and versatile in any situation. Proper work immersion aids in preparing prospective professionals for their future careers. Even the smallest of the lessons I gained throughout our immersion can be used in my future job. I believe that I have received both academic and social training. Along with gaining experience, this work immersion gives students like myself the chance to meet people in various positions in the high- or low-stakes setting that we are in and get to know actual professionals. The ability to adapt to the character and attitudes of others will be something that we, the students, will be able to learn. In addition, throughout my ten days of work immersion in the registrar's office, I came to numerous realizations. I came into several individuals with various attitudes toward me; some are pleasant to be with, while others are not. Even though I ran into these types of people in the office, I eventually understood that they were a part of my job experience and that they had taught me valuable lessons that I will always treasure. CHAPTER II Assessment of Immersion Program ➢ What have I learned from the experience? My selected field of expertise was refined through work immersion. I was able to engage with people of all types, learn about the ideal career path, and, most importantly, enhance my skills in the field I've chosen while working hard, having fun, and learning new things. All of these things were possible for me to do through work immersion. I am really glad for the experience I had because I was among friends who played a significant role in my job immersion. Aside from having them, another thing that makes me happy is that I get to interact with other people, each of whom has a unique outlook on life. I get both joy and sorrow from them. I've learnt from the experience that I should not concentrate on things that cause me worry or troubles, but rather, I should take pleasure in every wonderful thing that comes my way because regrets will eventually arrive. I discovered that every person with whom I come into contact has their own ideas, and that I should be open-minded and not discount them. I discovered via my work immersion experience how important it is to always be focused and alert in order to receive our supervisor's instructions. I discovered that the key to doing a task as soon as it is assigned is to always pay attention. In addition, the experience helped me to understand the value of interacting with others. I understand that talking with my co-workers will help me become familiar with them and work comfortably after we are good friends inside the company. Finally, I discover the benefits and drawbacks of the things I came across during my work immersion. Knowing that I can already adapt in my job after graduation will allow me to pursue my ideal career while still a student. Overall, I can say that my work immersion is wonderful because I'm learning a lot while I'm discovering. These events helped me realize all I lacked and transformed me into a better person. It is incredibly helpful to me since I learn things there that I never would have thought to do. At this point, I can say that I am grateful because I know what will lead to my chosen course in the near future, and I am eagerly anticipating it. ➢ My experience with the people around me At first, I believed that the co-workers I work with are stoic individuals who take their jobs seriously, but on our second day of work, we talked about how we felt and thought about our jobs. I had assumed that I would not get to know my co-workers until I had completed my 10-day work immersion at the registrar's office, but I was mistaken since during the course of two days, we got to know one another and talked about many topics. In addition, our supervisor comes out as initially being really harsh because she takes her interactions with myself and my fellow students very seriously. She spoke about how she came to be the director of the Office of the Registrar at Romblon State University, which after a few days of doing my job, I find to be quite interesting. She offers us some of her famous sermons, which I find fascinating since they have actually stayed in my mind. A rewarding experience was also provided by the folks I was with for the duration of my work immersion. They offered me the chance to do the things that allowed me to develop personally and as a future aspirant. ➢ The most memorable event during my immersion I remember instances at work where I was performing the assignment for the first time. Being a newcomer and not yet familiar with my office colleagues, I am unsure of what to do first. The most remarkable thing that happened throughout my immersion, in my opinion, was when I initially performed the task incorrectly. I was afraid that our supervisor would be upset with me, but instead, she taught me something that I will keep in mind the next time she gives me a duty to complete. However, such exposure has helped me improve and build my work ethics and practices. My heart and intellect were also exposed to the unforgiving realities of the profession. I am quite pleased of my teammates and myself since we worked professionally and gained knowledge that we will apply to our future employment. I learned to pursue a higher purpose and let the values I've developed via this work immersion grow in order to have a positive impact on not just myself but also those around me. I give my friends one last thanks for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Despite all the fatigue and complaints, the employees here made work easier and more enjoyable, thus I will never forget this amazing experience. I understood that everything nice has a conclusion. Nevertheless, despite everything that has happened and experienced, I will never forget it. I am in awe of everyone who has been a part of both my good and bad experiences. ➢ What I can recommend for the improvement of the immersion program I also advise extending this program in order to help more students develop their talents and get ready for the future. The capacity to frequently evaluate students' skill and understanding progress. By using formative exams and questioning strategies, teachers must keep an eye on their students' comprehension. Additionally, they ought to constantly encourage students to express themselves in conversations and responses using fresh vocabulary, sophisticated sentence patterns, and language that is more in line with their culture. If job immersion were to increase in such a way as to strengthen students' interpersonal and communication abilities, I think it would be advantageous to students in developing their skills. ➢ My advice to those who will take their immersion in the near future Remember that attendance is more than just showing up to work; it's also about arriving promptly each and every time. As an intern, you should gain as much knowledge as you can about the tasks that you might be given in the future. If your attendance is perfect, you will have more time to study as much as you can at work. Second, remember to treat everyone with respect because the contacts you make throughout your immersion might just be what you need to be hired. Treating everyone with respect, regardless of their standing, not only improves your self-esteem but also fosters friendships and speaks well of you as a person. Last but not least, in order to succeed as an intern, you must put in a lot of effort because you never know who is watching everything you do, even the smallest details. Keep a positive attitude, concentrate on providing the finest internship performance, and make as few mistakes as you can so that when it comes time for the real thing, you'll be well prepared to handle the problems at hand. Furthermore, your supervisor will be concerned about how well or poorly you perform at work, but it is entirely your job to handle it. Your performance serves as a barometer of your abilities and work ethic, therefore it's critical that you deliver an excellent show. Consider your immersion as your plane ticket to the business world. Give it everything you've got because this is a make-or-break situation for you. A memorable impression of you will be created by your performance, which will ultimately speak for itself. WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORT Student Name Week # Inclusive Dates - Anie Rose F. Fabula 1 April 11-14, 2023 ➢ (Document all activities for the week. Enumerate daily accomplishments) o Activities On our first day, we were given the daunting chore of sorting through a mountain of bidding files. I first had trouble organizing the registration paperwork, but I was able to call our supervisor for assistance, and he promptly provided me with instructions. The following day we complete the same work. Me and my fellow trainees arrange the college registration documents by color and course. I don't have much trouble sorting this time because I already know what to do. With the help of my fellow trainee, I was able to easily finish my assignment and enjoy it. We were tasked with sorting registration documents once more on the third day of our job immersion. We had a lot of boxes to sort, but because we were concentrated on our task, we were able to finish everything. Despite the difficulties, we were able to finish sorting by this day. The paperwork for college enrollment has been sorted for the day. After that, the registration forms are thoroughly examined before being put into the box. While working on this activity, I improved my focus and attention, which enabled me to finish it successfully. o Recommendation Prepared by: ANABELLE FAMPO-IDA, MAGA Supervisor’s Name and Signature UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR Position WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORT Student Name Week # Inclusive Dates - Anie Rose F. Fabula 2 April 17-20, 2023 ➢ (Document all activities for the week. Enumerate daily accomplishments) o Activities On the fifth day of our work immersion, it is our responsibility to verify the registration documentation. In addition to thoroughly examining it, our supervisor tasked us to arrange it annually and alphabetically. I find this task to be both demanding and enjoyable because my focus is on what I'm doing. I was given the task of removing the papers that were attached to the back of the envelope today. My fellow trainees and I take it out and inspect each course's folders twice. On this day, we did activities that weren't extremely challenging, but I enjoyed them more. On the seventh day of our work immersion, our manager assigned us the duty of doing the annual folder inspection. To inspect the graduate students' folders, we need a companion for this task, thus Jam is my teammate. Jam and I successfully finished the assignment thanks to our focus on detail. The eighth day is the same day as the seventh day. We arranged the graduate students' folders and checked them once again. Given that our supervisor immediately gave us instructions on how to do it, I feel confident in my abilities to organize the files. o Recommendations Prepared by: ANABELLE FAMPO-IDA, MAGA Supervisor’s Name and Signature UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR Position WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORT Student Name Week # Inclusive Dates - Anie Rose F. Fabula 3 April 24-25, 2023 ➢ (Document all activities for the week. Enumerate daily accomplishments) o Activities I was assigned with checking the box of registration forms on our ninth day of work immersion during the final week of our work immersion. After that, I arrange it within the box. We just had a small amount of work to complete today, and I got my task done straight immediately, so it hasn't been that strenuous. On this, my last day of work immersion, my responsibility was to sort the college registration documents alphabetically. After sorting stuff, I put it in the box and organized it there. After finishing, I performed various side jobs like sweeping the office floor and watering the plants. I truly had a nice time despite the challenges. I enjoyed being with the people I was with during the entire event. They help me get through the challenges I face at work, and I made friends as a result of this immersion, which is great for me. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to experience this in my life. o Recommendations Prepared by: ANABELLE FAMPO-IDA, MAGA Supervisor’s Name and Signature UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR Position ➢ Conclusion In conclusion, I will use this work experience as a stepping stone to prepare for the college course I will be taking. I was inspired to take my studies more seriously and with greater focus as a result of this work immersion. My 80-hour work week at the immersion office led to a lot of discoveries and realizations for me. Knowing the local population is beneficial to me. It inspires me to work hard and responsibly in whatever I do in life as a student. I've learned from this program that it's important to love and be knowledgeable about what you do. I felt a range of emotions as a result of this event. I had to feel these emotions, emotions that motivated me to become better at talking and interacting with others. In addition, it exposed me to a variety of viewpoints and people, which broadened my understanding. These viewpoints aid in my ability to see things from different angles and to take into account other opinions, experiences, and points of view. I have more empathy and understanding as a result of this. It, in my opinion, lessens prejudice, judgment, and conflict. The various insights I acquired from my co-workers at the office have helped me learn more about myself and take part in my personal development. It broadened my perspective on social interaction, causing me to realize that it not only helps prevent feelings of loneliness but also improves memory and cognitive function, elevates our sense of happiness and wellbeing, and may even lengthen our lives. I am thankful for moments like these in my life because they provide me with wonderful experiences that I will treasure throughout my path through life. I believe that this kind of experience will stay with me when I begin my college career in the near future. Because of my friends, I am incredibly grateful. They stick by me the entire while I immerse myself in my work. They formed a part of me that I will undoubtedly treasure when I achieve my goals. I, Anie Rose F. Fabula, shall carry on developing myself and striving to be an inspiration to others. CHAPTER III Pertinent Documents CHAPTER IV Appendices
