DIZON, Michael A. Ethnographic Research K–12 physical educators frequently use the page known as PE Central. In this group, teachers can find several lesson plans, exams, descriptions of best practices, ideas for bulletin boards, and webinars, courses, and workshops for online professional development. Since everyone in the group is a professional, the admin will not put up with offensive posts or profanity. Additionally, posts that do not directly contribute to helping educators get better at teaching the subject are being removed. If someone wishes to be part of the group, he/she just has to visit the page and ask the administrator to accept the request, although a set of questions will be given first to verify the intentions of the person to maintain the utmost professionalism and respect inside the page. Once he/she gets accepted, rules and regulations must be observed or else, the administrator will have to remove the name of the person from the group and can never be joined again. People promote inclusivity within the group. It offers a safe and comfortable environment for the entire community. This also motivates teachers to give whatever they need and become involved in the community. As they become more involved and forge deeper ties with other community members, individuals always have a strong sense of belonging. Members feel welcome and are consistently appreciated for who they are. This motivates people to begin answering questions and participating actively in the community. They also begin to offer assistance to other members. This decreases the responsibilities of the administrator, resulting in increased community involvement and connections. Online Community for: 1. Instruction In the technologically advanced environment in which we live, online communities are an excellent method to engage with people in the teaching community. An online network is advantageous since it connects teachers worldwide. Collaboration is a crucial aspect of being an educator, and online communities provide a forum where you can interact with other educators and seek advice, share ideas, participate in high-quality professional growth, and locate useful classroom resources. Additionally, an online community can provide assistance for navigating challenging student issues. A building's management should always be the first point of contact for difficult situations, but reflection is essential, and an online community can help teachers do just that. 2. Research In online community studies, participants are provided with platforms such as forums, live chats, or gamification incentives to ask questions and receive responses from other panelists or moderators. This will not only make the panelists feel engaged, but it will also become your goto tool for soliciting feedback on impending product or service developments. It has been noticed that performing community research makes life easier for firms since it provides realtime access to the target audience, facilitates the development of stronger customer relationships, and optimizes the sales process by identifying the organization's key objectives. 3. Extension Services Through online communities, surveys can be administered to a specific set of individuals whose condition requires quick attention in the field of agriculture or livestock such as climate change. It can also inform others of a problem's existence and inspire them to participate in its resolution. Farmers could also benefit from online communities that link them to new markets and provide knowledge about new regulatory structures and government priorities and policies.
