Annex 3: Qualification Guidelines for Development Team
Members
1. Writer/Developer
●
Permanent public school teacher with expertise in the subject/learning
area or Mother Tongue for which he/she will be assigned to develop
●
Has at least three (3) years teaching experience in the specific learning
area/Mother Tongue for which he/she will be assigned to develop LRs (For
CO, RO, and SDO levels of development)
●
Has participated in at least three (3) set of trainings or workshops related
to LR development
●
Has excellent written and communication skills
●
Is computer literate
2. Content Editor
●
Permanent public school teacher with specialization/expertise in the
subject/learning area or Mother Tongue for which he/she will be assigned to
review
●
Has at least three (3) years teaching experience in the specific learning
area/Mother Tongue for which he/she will be assigned to develop LRs (For
CO, RO, and SDO levels of development)
●
For school level, in case of unavailability of a content expert, the editor may
come from the pool of content editors within the district/cluster schools.
●
Has participated in at least three (3) set of trainings or workshops related
to LR development
●
Has developed a learning resource and duly certified by the school head/
SDS/RD
●
Has excellent written and oral communication skills
3. Mechanical Editor
●
Permanent public school teacher with specialization in English, Filipino or
expertise in Mother Tongue
●
For school level, in case of unavailability of a content expert, the editor may
come from the pool of content editors within the district/cluster schools.
●
Has participated in at least three (3) trainings or workshops related to LR
development
●
Has excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Filipino,
or Mother Tongue
4. Creative Editor
●
Member of DepEd pool of illustrators/ DepEd-trained illustrator
or potential illustrator skilled in manual drawing and/ or literate
in graphic software applications for illustration and design.
●
For school level, in case of unavailability of creative editor,
he/she may come from the pool of illustrators within the
district/cluster schools.
●
Has an experience in illustrating and layouting LRs and other
publications
5. Illustrator
●
Member of DepEd pool of illustrators / DepEd-trained illustrator
or potential illustrator skilled in manual drawing and/ or literate
in graphic software applications for illustration and design.
●
For school level, in case of unavailability of illustrator, he/she
may come from the pool of illustrators within the district/cluster
schools.
●
Has an experience in doing illustrations
6. Layout Artist
●
A DepEd-trained layout artist and/ or potential layout artist
●
Must be computer literate, especially in publishing software
●
Has an experience in doing layout for LRs or other publications
7. Proofreader
●
At least a Bachelor’s degree graduate of any of the following:
a. Mass Communication
b. Liberal Arts
c. Communication Arts
d. Education major in English/Filipino
e. Other related courses
●
Has at least three (3) years experience in proofreading materials
written either in English, Filipino, or Mother Tongue.
●
Has excellent written and oral communication skills in English,
Filipino, or Mother Tongue
