COURSE ASSESSMENT PLAN
Data Structures is a key core course and understanding the concepts discussed as part of
this course is essential to apply them for devising efficient solutions for the problems that need to
be solved as part of your professional career. To ensure that requisite knowledge would be gained
by you and build your level of confidence to face the interview process for internship and job
offers, outcome-based assessment process will be followed.
All are expected to follow the standard text book and prepare for assessments, the content of the
presentation shared will be indicative of the topics being discussed during contact hours. Some of
questions asked in the assessment might not have direct representation in the presentation material
being shared. Weightage of marks from each component used to assess your learning level and
percentage distribution of the learning levels being tested are listed in the Table 1. Table 2 indicate
the overall internal assessment plan for the course, Table 3 represents the detailed test plan, Five
Quiz/Puzzles/Review Questions will be conducted for each unit-wise and score will be calculated
as shown in Table 4. Table 5 gives the Hacker Rank Split-up Plan. Table 6 shows the mark split
