However, due to the construction of two (2) integrated schools three years ago and subsequently increase in student enrollment in Grades 7-9, Calamba NCHS’s enrollment for Grades 7-8 was unstable and primarily falling. Currently, the school is facing a challenge to either maintain or significantly expand enrollment. Moreover, three (3) currently operating private schools are also competing for students. Additionally, the decline in enrollment in Grades 7-8 has an impact on the enrollment for the previous three school years, therefore this is a problem that requires a deliberate approach. 2. Health and Nutritional Status Of the 1,683 learners for BOSY 2022-2023, only 81.16% has normal health and nutritional status, and the remaining 18.84% are categorized as “malnourished”. They currently under assessment for crafting meal plan under DepEd’s School-Based Feeding Program and Gulayan sa Paaralan. 3.
