MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
COLLEGE FOR RESEARCH & TECHNOLOGY OF CABANATUAN
AND
LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF TALAVERA
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENT:
This AGREEMENT made and entered into between:
COLLEGE FOR RESEARCH & TECHNOLOGY OF CABANATUAN with postal address at
Burgos, Cabanatuan City, represented herein by DR. REYNATO C. ARIMBUYUTAN, as
PRESIDENT.
And
LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF TALAVERA with postal address at Talavera, Nueva Ecija
represented herein by Hon. Nerito S. Santos Jr. as his capacity as Mayor and rein after
referred to as “PARTNER INSTITUTION”.
WITHNESSETH, that:
WHEREAS, the College for Research & Technology shall have Tie-up with the Local
Government Unit of Talavera ;
WHEREAS, the College for Research and Technology represented by the President DR.
REYNATO C. ARIMBUYUTAN, to give P 10,000.00 CRT Kaagapay scholarship
assistance for BS in Information Technology, BS in Accounting Information System,
BS in Hospitality Management, BS in Tourism Management, Bachelor in Technical
Vocational Teacher Education and Associate in Computer Technology;
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, College for
Research & Technology of Cabanatuan and the PARTNER INSTITUTION understand
and stipulate the following:
A. College for Research & Technology SHALL: give P 10,000.00 CRT Kaagapay
scholarship assistance for BS in Information Technology, BS in
Accounting Information System, BS in Hospitality Management, BS in
Tourism Management, Bachelor in Technical Vocational Teacher
Education and Associate in Computer Technology; to deserving scholars
endorsed by the Second Party;
B. The PARTNER INSTITUTION SHALL:
1. Prepare the Endorsement Letter;
2. Designate from among the employees a Focal Person who will take-charge
in the selection process;
3. Serves as organizer and who will monitor the program and reporting
purposes;
4. Pay the remaining balance of the scholars to the First Party before the Final
Term of each semester;
C. Under this Agreement the following terms and conditions are likewise included:
1. That, both parties shall exert all efforts necessary to achieve the objectives of
this joint undertaking.
For this purpose, the parties shall execute and deliver such instruments
and documents may be reasonably requested by the other party out of intent
and accomplish the purpose of this Agreement and the transaction covered
hereby.
2. That, neither of the parties shall be liable in any way for the failure to
observe or perform any provision of this Agreement if such failure shall be
caused by any law, rule or regulation of any constituted public authority or
shall be due to any force majeure event or any cause beyond the control of
the party in default.
D. Duration: This Agreement shall take effect immediately upon signing hereof and
shall continue for a period of one (1) year (2022-2023) thereafter. Unless
otherwise advised in writing by either party, this Agreement shall automatically be
renewable for the same period under the same terms and conditions.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the PARTNER INSTITUTION or the Local
Government Unit of Talavera reserves the right to terminate this Agreement,
subject to a fifteen (15) day prior written notice to the other party.
E. Requirements: The selected scholars are require to submit the following
requirements;
a. For New Applicants:
i. Barangay Clearance (1 original and 1 photocopy)
ii. Barangay Indigency (1 original and 1 photocopy)
iii. High School Card/Diploma/Form 137 (1 original and 1 photocopy)
iv. Endorsement Letter from the LGU (1 original and 1 photocopy)
v. Scholarship Form
b. For Renewal
i. Barangay Clearance (1 original and 1 photocopy)
ii. Barangay Indigency (1 original and 1 photocopy)
iii. Certificate of Grades from the previous semester (1 original and 1
photocopy)
iv. Endorsement Letter from the LGU (1 original and 1 photocopy)
v. Scholarship Form
F. Miscellaneous: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance
with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. A party shall not assign any of its
rights and obligations under this Agreement.
In case any one or more of the provisions contained herein shall, for any reason,
be held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any respect, such invalidity, illegality or
unenforceability shall not affect any of the provisions of this Partnership Agreement.
In such event, the parties shall consult each other as to the manner by which their
original intention can be fulfilled as closely as possible and they will amend this
Agreement accordingly.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereby affix signatures this _____ day of ____,
