Spreadsheet Exercise
Adventurers Limited is an agency from which various heroes, adventurers and agents
can be hired. In an effort to improve record keeping, a computer has been installed in
the organisation. Your first job on the computer is to create a spreadsheet to facilitate
calculating payroll details.
The spreadsheet should be formatted and laid out appropriately, using the data
provided.
The spreadsheet should calculate:
1. The ordinary pay of each adventurer.
hourly rate x hours worked = ordinary pay
2. The overtime pay of each adventurer at the overtime rate of 2.5 x hourly rate.
overtime hours x overtime rate = overtime pay
3. The gross pay of each adventurer.
gross pay = ordinary pay + overtime pay
4. The tax paid by each adventurer. The tax rate is the same for all adventurers $0.33 in the dollar. Use an absolute reference to the tax rate in the formula:
wage x tax rate = tax
5. The net pay of each adventurer.
net pay = gross pay - tax
6. Total payroll tax payments.
7. Total payroll gross pay.
8. Average adventurer wage, using a function.
