Assignment Task As we have learned throughout the module, a flourishing life encompasses the interconnection between physical health and mental wellness. Building empathy and a growth mindset help us understand the underlying context, enablers, and barriers for desired healthy living and wellbeing. Improvements in our health and wellbeing entail a complex interplay of various factors, including physical, individual, social, socioeconomic, cultural, and environmental factors (i.e., the socioecological model; Dahlgren and Whitehead, 1991). In a broader context, current digital technologies present new opportunities and challenges for our personal health and wellbeing. Therefore, it is timely to discuss how technology has influenced the way we view, approach, and experience healthy living and wellbeing. Recent technological innovations promise to transform and personalise the way we engage with health and wellbeing, engendering deeper interconnections between technology, our personal health and wellbeing. Telemedicine, smart wearable devices, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, robotics, 3D bioprinting, mobile applications are among the key trends, and the list is evolving. These examples can spark a reflection on your personal experiences of how technology, health and wellbeing intersect through an interdisciplinary lens of physical health and mental wellness. Write an insightful and succinct reflection essay (750-1000 words) to articulate how you think technology has shaped your understanding of the interrelationship between healthy living and wellbeing. Furthermore, discuss how you intend to apply this connection in your daily life. Essays should include the following sections: 1. Introduction 2. Interdisciplinary connection 3. Impact of interdisciplinary connection 4. Application of interdisciplinary connection beyond classroom Learning to develop and present your ideas in a coherent form is part of the learning process of this assignment. To be fair to every student, instructors will not answer questions regarding the specific content of your essay, nor read drafts of the essays. 3 of 11 F. Application of interdisciplinary connection beyond classroom • This section requires you to share your experiences in applying what you have discovered through your reflection on this module, and how your journey with healthy living and wellbeing has evolved.
