1. Send melody loops to big youtube / beatstars producers for 50/50 collab sales. I have made around 500k doing this strategy alone. 2. Post type beats on youtube every day, stay consistent with your key words, and overall sound and branding, if people know you for a certain vibe and sound, they are more likely to go to you when they want to hear that. 3. Send finished beats to big youtube / beatstars producers for 50/50 sales, even though you made the full beat, they get a free upload for their beat store/youtube channel, and they get to make money on something they didn’t have to put any work on 4. Post your beats to beatstars, and run ads on your best beats (just a theory, but imagine if you spent $10,000 on beatstars promo, with no expectation to make it back right away, but with the goal of “blowing up” your profile so that over time you could grow a legit beat selling brand) 5. Submit all of your best and most accurate beats to beatstars opportunities, beatstars curates playlists kind of like spotify, you can submit your beats to say a “drake type beat” playlist and if they get added to this playlist, you’ll get an instant boost in plays and potentially sales to your profile 6. Drop free loop kits or beat packs, run instagram ads on them to get more downloads, and then convert all of those downloads into email list subscribers. 7. Once you grow an email list, follow email marketing advice from Heate, they have A TON of great info on email marketing, and btw Ryan from Heate runs my email marketing. 8. Submit your beats or songs to sync agencies to get sync placements, “sync placements” are placements on Tv shows, Movies, video games, advertisements, etc. They can pay anywhere from a couple thousand dollars to tens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars. Follow https://www.instagram.com/xj_will/ for a lot more information on this, he kills it and makes around 20k/month on sync placements. The great thing about this, is you don’t need a big brand! Just great music! 9. Post youtube tutorials for music producers, you can promote your own kits and sell them to your audience, or if you don’t have good enough kits, you can promote other peoples brands and get paid from them to run ads with your following (of course once you actually have a following) 10. Get paid youtube adsense from tutorials, or from type beats 11. Post all of your beats on spotify, apple music, etc, and make tiktoks like this: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnclkY2q5El/ to promote your songs/beats 12. Start a 24/7 freestyle beats live stream on youtube, cycle through your best beats and have purchase links to your beat store in the description. Once it grows, you can sell beats, and make money from ads on youtube 13. This next one is something I did when I was starting out, and I would make hundreds of dollars every time I did it. Run a deal for a week where you are “Making Albums” with artists, tell them they can get a whole album (non exclusive) produced by you for like $100, say they get 5 or so beats, for some reason this goes over different with artists than just saying “5 beats for $100” I think it felt more like, “Oh i like KXVI’s beats, I would love to have an album produced by him” 14. DM 100 rappers every single day to try to sell your beats. Don’t be the guy that dms “Yo bro buy my beats” Dm them and say something like “I really fw your ____ on ____ song! I have some beats similar to that style that I think you’d kill! Lmk if you want to hear em” and be genuine, people can smell spam better now than ever. The way you can find these rappers is, go to a big producer who makes similar beats to you. Go look at who has tagged him on instagram or who is following him on instagram, you’ll find a lot of artists who use and probably buy his beats, hit them up because they already like that kind of beat, and are probably willing to buy beats. 15. Find every fire loop maker you can on instagram, send them “starters” like midi’s, chord progressions, live instrument phrases, vocal chops, etc. Send them out to as many loop makers as you can, they will flip your starters into loops and send it out to all of their connections, and you can send it out to all your connects. 16. Drop loop kits and run instagram ads to drive traffic to your site where you sell your kit (I recommend shopify, but beatstars works well too) 17. Drop tik tok / reels tutorials on how to make beats, whenever you make a beat using sounds from a sound kit you made, promote the link in bio to your loop kit, drum kit, one shot kit, etc 18. After you grow a big enough audience do an in person “event” where people can meet, cook up, or learn from you. Stafford beats does a great job with his “producer retreats” where he gets tons of producers to stay in a mansion together to network and cook up, and charges money for tickets to make a profit. https://www.instagram.com/staffordbeats_/ 19. Sell a PDF, exclusive video, or mini course for $5 giving advice on how to sell beats, how to make beats, how to make loops, how to mix beats, anything you can do very well. Run instagram ads on a compelling video of you pitching this product. The $5 price point is super good because it is a relatively low commitment for the customer, if they don’t like it, it was only $5. If they do like it, they paid $5 and got information worth much more than $5. 20. Sell “classes” or 1 on 1 consultations where you teach people how to make beats, loops, songs, etc. You can charge hourly and it can be really fun and rewarding to help people and teach what you know….even if you are getting paid for it. 21. Land big songs with major artists and let the publishing checks roll in over time, not a great way to make reliable money or fast money, but if you can create a big catalog of big songs over a 10-20 year career, the publishing $$ can add up over time and create passive income for your future self. 22. Custom beats. Offer custom exclusive beats for anywhere from $200 to thousands of dollars, if you do a price that is relatively “high” you can limit the amount of time you have to make custom beats. If you make 5 custom beats a month for $200 each, thats an easy $1000 / month. 23. Make big multi kits and market it as “all you need” to make _____ type of beat. For example, I dropped a HUGE kit called Dark Nights that had EVERYTHING you needed to make crazy dark trap beats. Im talking live violin phrases, analog lab banks, midis, drum midis, 2 drum kits, 350 loops, vocal chops, one shots, sound fx, exclusive tutorial, ETC ETC. This kit blew all of my previous kits out of the water, selling around $10,000 first week. Providing a lot of value makes your kit stand out from all of the “normal” kits. Think out of the box, if you make real guitar loops, drop a real guitar one shot and phrase kit with your guitar loop kit. I guarantee it will convince more people to purchase it, if you market it correctly. 24. Start a beat or loop membership program on your beatstars. Recurring revenue is a key to success. 25. Create a patreon where people get exclusive tutorials, loops, sounds, presets, etc. 26. Offer mix and mastering/gfx services to other producers, and to other artists, you can even offer a deal to artists like (buy 2 beats, get 1 mix and master, and 1 cover art for free) if you do a good job on the mix and cover, they will probably want you to mix their other stuff, and since you are giving more valuable than the next producer who just sends the mp3 file and gets their $$, they are more likely to shop with you in the future. 27. Offer custom beats on Fiverr, there are plenty of people on fiverr looking for music for their videos, commercials, or even artists looking for custom beats for their songs. And I’ll be honest, the competition isn’t that good, so if you are even a 7/10 producer, you can likely stand out on there and start making freelance money. 28. Have local rappers come to your home studio and charge them for “studio time” you can give them a beat as part of the deal, and make it kind of a bundle “$50/hour you get to record, get a beat, get a mix, and get a producer to work with in person” if you can book yourself out for 20 hours a month, or 5 hours a week, you can make $1000 a month with that pricing. 29. Start a “loop store” on beatstars. Post individual loops instead of beats and sell them for around $1-$5 a piece, this can be super easy to market, because you can say $1 loops. It is also nice for the consumer because they can just purchase the loops they want! 30. Do a contest or a beat battle with a ton of good prizes, and charge a $5 entrance fee to enter the battle. If you can make more $ off of the entrance tickets than you give away in prizes, you profit, and get good exposure for your brand by people re posting about the battle. If you found this valuable at all, please make sure to subscribe to my youtube https://www.youtube.com/@prodkxvi/featured I drop a bunch more in depth knowledge on there on how I’ve made upwards of $800k selling beats, loops, and sounds online! Hope at least one of these tips helps you!
