SCHOOLS GUIDELINES AND POLICIES
TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
These regulations sum up all the rules on which all children enrolled at Mary Liane’s
School are briefed at the beginning of every school year. It comprises the usual requirements in
school communities where order and discipline must be maintained for maximum results.
Our aim to established a clean, orderly and happy environment for your children during
the hours they are in school, and this possible only with your cooperation. Please read these rules
carefully. We need your help to make your child understand and comply with them. Thank you.
TO STUDENTS
These regulations are the most important rules which govern your little school
community. Try to observe them faithfully so that your school days will be happy and fruitful. If
there is anything which you do not clearly understand, do not hesitate to ask your teacher who
will always be glad to answer your questions. Begin the practice of good citizenship in school.
Be a good citizen and help enforce the rules of your community.
1. Correct Uniform and Sensible Grooming
A school uniform shall be prescribed for all students. Shoes and socks are considered part
of the uniform. After the third week no one shall be permitted in the classroom who is not in
uniform.
Prescribed Uniform for Boys:
 Preschool – Yellow polo shirt with yellow-green piping, Checkered Yellow- green shorts
pants, black shoes and white socks.
 Grade 1 – 6 Yellow polo with yellow-green piping, Moss green pants, and black shoes
with black socks
Pants must be flair and loose enough for comfort. Skin-tight (“baston” or “skinny jeans”)
pants are not allowed.
 Prescribed P.E. Uniform: White T-Shirt with MLS logo and Yellow-green jogging
pants & rubber shoes and socks of any color.
 Grade 7 – 12 White, short sleeved polo barong with MLS logo and embroidery, Moss
green pants, and black shoes with black socks

Grade 1 – 6 Canary – Yellow short sleeved with sailor collar and checkered YG belt,
closed black leather shoes and standard white socks.
Prescribed P.E. Uniform: White T-Shirt with MLS logo and YG jogging pants &
rubber shoes and socks of any color.
Grade 7 – 10 Cream blouse with checkered YG piping, bow tie and belt, checkered
yellow green pleated skirt, closed black shoes and standard white socks.
Prescribed P.E. Uniform: White T-Shirt with MLS logo and black jogging pants &
rubber shoes and socks of any color.
Grade 11 – 12 Cream blouse with checkered YG piping, bow tie and belt, checkered
yellow green pencil cut skirt, low heeled closed black shoes.
Prescribed P.E. Uniform: White T-Shirt with MLS logo and black jogging pants &
rubber shoes and socks of any color.
All Students shall be required to wear the official school IDs at all times.
The “NO ID, NO ENTRY” rule will be strictly enforced. The ID Card should not be
tampered with any material/item. It should clearly show the picture, name, grade level,
and section of the student.
The ID card is non-transferable. Borrowing or lending of ID is subject to disciplinary
action.
In case of lost ID, the student must proceed to the Accounting Office for payment and
inform the officer to secure new ID.
Long hair must be either braided or neatly tied.
Bobbed hair, except when short, must be held back by hair bands or clips away from the
face; clips, hair bands must be color black only.
Bangs must be worn short so as not to interfere with sight.
Use of Make Up and Nail polish
a. Nail polish and nail extensions are not allowed.
b. Grades 7-10 girls are not allowed to wear makeup.
c. Grades 11-12 girls may wear make-up but should be limited to loose/pressed powder,
light blush on and light lip color. Wearing of heavy makeup is not allowed.
The acceptable haircut for boys shall be at least one (1) inch above the ear and three (3)
inches above the collar line. Decent hairstyle - not touching the ears, the nape, no
undercut, pineapple cut, Mohawk, not touching the eyebrow
Haircut inspection by the Class Adviser is conducted every first Monday of the month.
Dyed or highlighted hair, make up, tinted lips, colored nails, dangling or multiple
earrings and other expensive jewelry are NOT Allowed.
2. After the second week, only pupils will be allowed in the school compound. Yayas and/or
other attendants of the Pre-school children may not look after them in the classroom but must
wait for them outside the waiting areas.
3. There are two entrances to the school compound, CDC gate 1 for Grades 1 to 12; CDC gate 2
for Preschool K1 & 2 These will be opened and closes according to schedule.
While for exits to the school compound: CDC gate 2 for K1 & K2, Grade 1, 2, & 3; While exit
gate for Grade 4,5,6 & Grade 7 -12 will use the Iriga gate.
 Those who have to go out at off hours for some important reason must secure a gate pass
from the Office of the Prefect of Students Discipline to be allowed to leave.
 No students will be permitted to leave the compound at any time during school hours.
 Parents or other visitors who have business at the office must take the CDC gate 1
 No outsider is allowed in the compound during class hours unless accompanied by some
school official.

4. Be alert to the ringing of the bell and observance of the arrival and routine activities schedule.
5. Attendance and Punctuality
TARDINESS
 Official school time is ________. A student is considered late if he/she arrives after the
official time.
 Student who come to school after the official time are considered absent for the number
of subjects they only missed.
 Those students still outside their classrooms shall proceed to the study hall and wait to
the next period. The teacher on duty will issue the necessary admission slip.
 Missed tests/seat works during that time of tardiness are considered unexcused. They will
not be given make-up quizzes/work according to department of Education’s (DepEd)
regulation.
 Students are required to go back to their respective classroom immediately after recess
and lunch breaks; otherwise, they will be considered late for that particular subject.
 A student who is habitually tardy will have to bring his/her parents for conference with
the Prefect of Discipline (POD) and Guidance at an appointed time.
 A conduct grade of 75% brought about by tardiness would place the student under
disciplinary probation. He/she is expected to make amends by making his/her conduct
grade higher. Failure to show improvement would still place him/her under probation for
the next grading. Failure to show improvement within the school year may withhold
his/her eligibility to continue his/her studies in this institution for the succeeding school
year.
 No student must be in the school ground after 5:45 PM.
ABSENCES
 Any student who has been absent should present a letter of excuse signed by his parents
or guardian before he/she can be allowed to attend class. A phone call is not a substitute
for the excuse letter.
 The ‘excuse letter” should be presented to the POD before classes start. After proper
inquiry, the POD Officer will issue a “Permit to Enter Slip” to the Class Adviser. Any
“excuse letter” submitted is still subject for approval.
 In case of three (3) or more days of absence due to sickness, the student/pupil is required
to present a letter of excuse and a valid medical certificate upon return to school.
 Request for exemption from strenuous activities should be supported by medical
certificate.
 Conduct grades are affected by tardiness and unexcused absences.
 Only three (3) unexcused absences are allowed per student per quarter and only five (5)
excused absences are allowed per student per semester. Absences are non-transferable
from one quarter to another quarter.
 No student is allowed to leave the school campus during class hour, unless the POD is
notified and permission is given.
 Students whose parents with their child/children to be excused from classes for special
reasons must seek permission through letter from the POD at least one (1) day before the
absence.
 Any student who wants to leave the school campus due to sickness should get a note
certified by the school nurse and duly signed by the class advisers/subject teacher and
present it to the POD Officers who will then issue a GATE PASS. Any gate pass issued is
only good for a purpose and as specified.
 In case of emergency that a student needs to leave the campus, parents/guardians should
coordinate with the POD.
 The subject coordinators will write a written letter for the approval of the
Directress/Principal to a student/pupil who represent the school for
activities/competitions outside the school.

 Students/Pupils may be called out of the classroom only by the Directress/Principal and
Department Coordinators
 Special Examinations are given only for excused absences/valid reasons.
Some examples of excused absences include:
 Sickness (written letter and medical certificate must be presented if absence of 3
days or more)
 Medical/Dental appointment with a doctor, which cannot be arranged outside of
the school day provided prior approval has been obtained (must be verified with a
note from the doctor)
 Serious illness or death in the immediate family.
 Court appearance/processing of diplomatic documents
 Approved school activities (competitions in or outside the school)
 Impassable road or weather which makes travel unsafe
Parents/Guardians must report the reason to the Prefect of Discipline within 72
hours (or 3 days) of absences. The student will be permitted to make-up any work missed
due to an excused absence.
Some examples of unexcused absences include:
 Oversleeping
 Traffic/car trouble
 Failure to bring required doctor’s note
 Non-school sponsored activity (sports, competition)
 Personal reasons (Family trip/Vacation even if there is a plane ticket booking)
 Private lesson, tutoring and other services
 Cutting class/ truancy (the action of staying away from school without good
reason; absenteeism.)
 Leaving class/campus without following proper procedure
Students will not be permitted to make up any missed work from an unexcused absence.
Student who accumulates excessive unexcused absences will be subjected to Disciplinary
Action
SANCTION FOR TARDINESS:
A STUDENT SHALL BE ALLOWED A MAXIMUM OF FIVE (5) TARDINESS
EXCUSED OR UNEXCUSED FOR EVERY GRADING PERIOD.
1ST – 2ND Tardy: Verbal warning given by Class Adviser
3RD Tardy: Parent notification given by the POD Officers
4TH Tardy: Student and parent conference with the POD Officers
5Th Tardy onwards: one point deduction in the conduct grade on that particular grading
Succeeding one point deduction each in the conduct grade on the 7TH,
9TH, and 11TH. Parent will be notified.
 Habitual Tardiness (twice a week) will put the students on three-days community
service.
 Further tardiness (on the 12TH) will put the students on four to five (4-5) day
community service.
 A student maybe asked to withdraw from the school completely on the basis of
PROLONGED and INCORRIGIBLE tardiness.
6. Proper Classroom Behavior
 During Class Hours:
A Correct classroom demeanor shall be expected of every child. Observe correct sitting or
standing postures. When seated, do not lounge, nor spread out your legs, nor rock the
chair, nor pull another nearer to lean on or rest your head on. When reciting, do not lean,

nor stand one leg nor walk back & forth, nor wait for cues. Recite in clear voice. Do not
laugh boisterously.
Observe common rules of good manners. disciplined MLS student must observe:
 Class seating arrangement assigned by the homeroom/subject teacher. The
student is tasked to take care of the chair assigned to him/her during the school
year.
 During class hours or between periods, students are expected to stay inside the
classroom except for necessities. Permission should be secured from the next
teacher – in-charge.
 Students are not allowed to eat or drink during class hours.
 Chewing gum is not allowed at all times.
 Shouting, Squealing (“Pagtili”), Running, howling, boisterous laughing while
inside the classroom.
 Rowdiness in any form is strictly forbidden.
 When the teacher is absent, students must remain quiet in their seats. The class
president will take charge of the class while the vice president informs the
office.
 English is the means of communication in the school. Students should use
English for interaction in school premises, while Filipino is only allowed to be
used during Filipino classes.
 Use the waste basket waste basket. Put all scrap paper, infectious materials on
the designated waste bin. Do not stick waste paper between the slats of your
chair. Always keep your room neat and in good order.
 Throw waste paper and other thrash in the garbage bin which are at strategic
places in the compound
 Breaking soft drink bottles deliberately not only destroy property, but could also
cause serious harm to children playing around.
 During Break Time
 Students are allowed to eat inside the classroom provided they clean up and
keep their surroundings clean.
 Students are not allowed to enter other classrooms during recess and lunch
breaks.
 All students are required to take recess and lunch inside the school premises.
 Students are not allowed to request any school personnel or personally buy
food or drinks outside the school.
 Students are not allowed to order food outside the school canteen and meet the
delivery man at the school’s gate. If the student’s wants to buy food in any fastfood chain, they need to buy the food before coming to school.
 Behavior during Programs and Assemblies or other events
MLS student should:
 Observe silence and proper decorum at all times.
 Stand at attention for the National Anthem or upon entry of the guest of honor
or Directress/Principal.
 Sit properly and listen attentively.
 Avoid doing other things during the Program
 Do not leave the hall or place while a speech or performance is going on.
 If you notice something unusual, avoid laughing at it or make any noise about
it.
 Behavior on and off Campus

MLS students should observe the following acceptable behaviors on and off campus:
 Observe silence in the classroom, corridors, hallways, library, laboratory,
auditorium and other designated places.
 Every class shall be held responsible for the neatness and order of the room
they occupy. Vandalism acts commonly observed in willful mutilations or
defacement of property, as part of grounds, buildings, classrooms, desk,
cabinets, blackboards, shall be strictly dealt with.
 Do not drag or move chairs out of their places. See to it that every chair is in
place and that you are where you should be.
 Avoid class disturbances such as dragging of feet & chairs, howling, shouting,
running, horse play, loud conversations, boisterous laughing, “TikTok” and
blogging
 No loitering
 Smoking, drinking of alcoholic drinks, gambling of any form and other vices
are strictly prohibited at all times.
 Behave properly at all times during off-campus school activities.
 Refrain from selling any item or goods in campus.
 Curfew Hours
The school gate opens at 6:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM. Mondays thru Fridays. All
students should be out of the school by 6:00 PM
7. Care of School Property
MLS students should:
 Help keep the classroom and the campus clean and orderly.
 Use of school facilities or materials like bulletin boards, audio-visual materials,
etc. only with the permission of the teacher or whoever is in charge.
 Replace or repair at his/her own expense any school property he/she happens to
damage.
 Help save on water and electric bills by switching off the lights & air
conditioners esp. when nobody is inside the room, turning off water faucets
when not in use.
8. Be properly equipped for school work
 Every pupil must have his/her own text books in all subjects, and all other
equipment needed such as pencils, pens, paper, ruler, crayons, etc. all of which
should be properly labeled for identification
 All books and notebooks must be covered nearly, books and supplies may be
ordered at school.
9. Keep Homework Notebook in Order.
 Each pupil shall keep a notebook for HW assignment in every student to be
checked daily in class. Consistent failure to do homework or any assignment will
affect pupil’s school record and should be sufficient motive for parent-teacher
conference. Parents are enjoined to check their notebook periodically.
10.Report Lost and Found Articles
 Any personal property found or lost in the premises should be reported at once
11.Be clean in Word and Deed.
 Any pupil who deliberately contrives to hurt or molests another by malicious
expressions or actions shall be subject to disciplinary action.
12.Respect to other People’s property.
 Provide yourself with everything you need. Do not be dependent. Have your own
things; Grabbing other persons things could develop into bad habit that could lead
to outright dishonesty.

 Pupils/student are encouraged to be responsible of their properties. MLS is not
responsible to lost or damage of confiscated devices and gadgets due to force
majure and after it is claimed.
 When the occasion warrants, students may be searched for any of the prohibited articles
enumerated above by the school authorities and/or the local police.
13.Any student found in possession of any of the prohibited articles will be given serious
warning. A repetition of the offense will merit expulsion. In case of prohibited drugs, the student
will be referred to the police on first offense
14. Go home directly from school
 At dismissal pupils shall go home directly, and except with parent’s permission, may not
go elsewhere with friends. We request careful briefing of children by their parents on this
point.
 Those who come to fetch their children will wait just outside the points of exit.
15. Do not bring outsiders, outsiders are not allowed in the school compound. All business
transaction with students must be transacted through the office or at their own homes.
16. Do not be wasteful or extravagant
17. Do not bring books from your home library to show your friends or read in class. You may
lose them or break an expensive set.
18. Do not bring expensive pens, instruments or trinkets from home to display. Do not bring
toys. Learn to take care of personal belongings
19. Bring just the amount you need for the day. Do not bring your whole weekly allowance. This
will minimize losses through carelessness, indiscriminate lending or gallantry. Your parents will
decide the amount you should spend daily on snacks and school supplies.
20. Elevate legitimate complaints
 Any pupils with a legitimate grievance or complaint shall report the matter directly to the
class, teacher, adviser or through the guidance counselor, principal so that investigation
maybe conducted to the satisfaction of all concerned. Little difficulties become big
problem, if not resolved at once.
21.Begin right, learn good habits of work or play
 Provide yourself with necessary textbooks and prepare the daily assignments at
home.
 Avoid depending on your classmates for the preparation of lessons, or allowing
them to copy your work.
 To avoid carrying unnecessary weight or the possibility of loss, do not bring to
school textbooks that are not needed in the recitation. The teacher will instruct
you on this matter.
 Untidy work produces a bad impression, so do you work neatly and carefully.
 Do your best in group work or play.
 Recess time gives you the chance to relax.
 Do not drop candy wrappers and other wrappers where you eat; put them in the
waste cans.
22.Interaction between Parents and Teachers
Parents are enjoined to use the communication notebook or GC’s in communicating with
teachers regarding school matters. For serious matters please visit the OSA or Guidance
Office.
23. All periodic tests are scheduled in advance with special arrangements for conflicts.
24. Consult your teacher or your counselor on anything regarding school or personal difficulties.
You will be attended with attention and sympathy.
25. Teenage fads that interfere with the schools’ requirements for neatness, orderly conduct,
punctuality, attendance, etc. are forbidden. To be specific, the school demands sensible, not
sensational haircuts, hairdos, gang activities, party hours.

26. The progress you make in academic and extracurricular work is reflected in the ratings given
out periodically at every grading period. There are four quarter reports during the year, each new
report should be better than the previous one. Work for improvement’s no matter how little so
that years end you will have the satisfaction of bringing home good report.
27. Students may be recommended for transfer to another school if:
 Attendance is poor
 Academic performance is below par
 Conduct/deportment in school has been such that disciplinary action has been
required.
28. Use of Electronic Gadgets (EG)
 Use of electronic gadgets, i.e., smartphones/cellular phones, tablets/Ipad, laptops is
not permitted during school hours except when needed for classroom instructions.
 Students who will be caught using electronic gadgets during school hours without
permission from the teacher will be given disciplinary action.
 Pupil/Students are required to surrender their electronic gadgets to their advisers in
the first period/subject, to be collected by the class president and hand over to their
adviser. Electronic gadgets must be turned off in the presence of the class president.
 Only one (1) electronic gadget can be deposited per pupil/student. EXCESS
CELLULAR PHONES OR OTHER ELECTRONIC GADGET WILL
AUTOMATICALLY BE CONFISCATED.
 Claiming period of EG’s/CP’s will be during dismissal time. Those who failed to
claim their devices will have to claim them on the next day during claiming period.
a. FIRST VIOLATION: If a student is found using a phone during class hours, an
automatic 3 days school community service will be conferred. The student will
receive a demerit in his conduct grade, and the electronic device/CP can only be
retrieved by parent/guardians after five (5) school days from the date of
confiscation.
b. SECOND VIOLATION: forfeiture of the cell phone/ electronic device and to be
claimed at the end of the school year; Five (5) days school community service.
 Confiscation is part of the disciplinary action. Confiscation of cell phone/electronic
device can be done by faculty member and MLS personnel. Confiscated items will
be turned over to the advisers.
 MLS will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of CP/Electronic Devices
due to force majure and after it is claimed.
29. Entrance to school premises on weekends and holiday
 Students will only be allowed to enter school premises on weekends and holidays
if there is a letter of approval from the principal or his/her deputy.
 SCANDALOUS ACTS AND DISRESPECTFU BENAVIORS
A student who is caught behaving in a scandalous manner while inside the school
premises will be given disciplinary action by the Schools Disciplinary Committee. (SDC)
It is composed of five (5) teachers; an elected teacher who shall be the chairperson, the
assistant teacher who shall be the secretary and the other three (3) S, D.C. member.
 Scandalous acts include, but is not limited to:
 public display of affection such as kissing, hugging, necking, sitting on the lap,
touching other student’s body part/s
 engaging in sexual acts
 going/visiting of indecent places while in school uniform
 bringing and/or distributing pornographic materials and other sexually oriented
 literature, and materials/objects inside the school premises and/or during school
authorized activities
 engaging in same sex relationship
 stealing and/or shoplifting inside or outside the school premises

 A student who is discovered to be pregnant will be subject to exclusion after due
process. In the same manner, any student who is found to have fathered a child,
whether with a student of MLS or not, will be subject to the same sanction after
due process.
 A student who shows disrespectful behavior towards school authorities and
personnel, students, guests of the school, and school properties will be given
disciplinary action.

disciplinary action. Disrespectful behavior includes, but is not limited to:
 Committing any act contrary to the school’s Vision, Mission and Core
Values
 Committing Photo and Video Voyeurism





“Photo or video voyeurism – means the act of taking photo or video
coverage of a person or group of persons performing sexual act or any
similar activity or of capturing an image of the private area of a person or
persons without the latter's consent, under circumstances in which such
person/s has/have a reasonable expectation of privacy, or the act of
selling, copying, reproducing, broadcasting, sharing, showing or
exhibiting the photo or video coverage or recordings of such sexual act or
similar activity through VCD/DVD, internet, cellular phones and similar
means or device without the written consent of the person/s involved,
notwithstanding that consent to record or take photo or video coverage of
same was given by such persons.” (RA 9995, Sec.3d)
Using profane and vulgar language inside the school premises and outside school
premises during school authorized activities
Fighting or physically assaulting other student, teacher, school personnel, and
authorized school guest/s inside the school premises and/or during school
authorized activities
Littering in any part of the school
Unruly behavior during mass, convocations, assemblies, and other related school
Activities
Vandalizing assigned desk, locker, and any material/equipment inside the school
Damage to, or defacement of, school property caused intentionally or recklessly

 SMOKING, DRINKING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND GAMBLING
 A student who will be caught bringing, selling, and/or smoking cigarettes
(including e-Cigarettes and/or vape) inside the school premises and/or during
school authorized activities will be given disciplinary action.
 A student who will be caught bringing, selling, and /or drinking alcoholic
beverages inside the school premises and/or during school authorized activities
will be given disciplinary action.
 A student who will be caught gambling and /or betting in any form within the
school premises and/or during school authorized activities will be given
disciplinary action.
 FORGERY, OFFERING FALSE TESTIMONIES AND SOLICITATION
 A student who will be caught forgering and/or falsifying school documents will
be given disciplinary action.
 A student who will be proven offering false testimonies during school
investigation will be given disciplinary action.
 A student who will be caught committing all forms of solicitation without
approval from school authority will be given disciplinary action.
 PROHIBITED DRUGS, DEADLY WEAPONS AND FRATERNITIES

A student who will be caught bringing, selling, and /or using prohibited drugs whether inside
or outside school premises will be given disciplinary action.
 A student who will be caught carrying deadly weapons and any form of
explosives inside the school premises and/or during school authorized activities
will be given disciplinary action.
 A student who will be caught participating in and recruiting members for
fraternities and/or sororities inside and outside the school premises will be given
disciplinary action.
 A student who will be caught participating and/or conducting hazing activities
inside or outside the school premises will be given disciplinary action.
 Bullying and Cyber-Bullying (DO No. 40, s. 2012 and DO No. 55, S. 2013)
A student who commits any of the acts as defined in DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012
and DepEd Order No. 55, S. 2013, shall be given disciplinary action.
A. Bullying
Bullying refers to any severe, or repeated use by one or more students of a written, verbal
or electronic expression, or a physical act or gesture, or any combination thereof, directed
at another student that has the effect of actually causing or placing the latter in reasonable
fear of physical or emotional harm or damage to his property; creating a hostile
environment at school for the other student; infringing on the rights of another student at
school; or materially and substantially disrupting the education process or the orderly
operation of a school; such as, but not limited to the following:
a. Any unwanted physical contact between the bully and the victim like punching,
pushing, shoving, kicking, slapping, tickling, headlocks, inflicting school pranks,
teasing, fighting and the use of available objects as weapons;
b. Any act that causes damage to a victim’s psyche and/or emotional well-being;
c. Any slanderous statement or accusation that causes the victim undue emotional
distress like directing foul language or profanity at the target, name-calling,
tormenting and commenting negatively on victim’s looks, clothes and body;
d. *extortion and blackmail
e. *stealing, hiding, destroying other people’s possessions
f. *stalking
g. *demeaning humor, spreading rumors
h. *blocking access to school premises or any of its facilities

BULLY – refers to any student who commits acts of bullying
VICTIM- refers to any student who experiences the acts of bullying or retaliation
B. Cyber-Bullying
Cyber-bullying is a form of bullying done through the use of technology or any
electronic means. The term shall also include any conduct resulting to harassment,
intimidation, or humiliation, through the use of other forms of technology, such as, but
not limited to texting, email, instant messaging, chatting, internet, social media, online
games, or other platforms or formats as defined in DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012. Cyberbullying acts include the following, but is not limited to:
a. Posting insults, rumors, or any derogatory, erroneous, violent, offensive, or
sexually oriented material about another person using technology or any electronic
means.
b. Creating a fake social networking account or any online account to collect,
post, and send inappropriate and/or threatening message, comment, photo, and
video.
c. Using another person’s online account to collect, post, and send messages,
photos, and videos without the knowledge of the online account owner.
d. Using any electronic gadget such as phones, tablets/Ipad, digital video camera,
to take and send photos or videos that are inappropriate and/or threatening.

 ACADEMIC MISCONDUCTS
 Cheating in any form during major examinations (ME and QE) and other types of
assessment (assignments, quizzes, seat works, etc.) will be given disciplinary action.
 Disruption of academic activities during class hours will be given disciplinary action.
Disruption of academic activities during class hours includes, but is not limited to:
• making unnecessary noise
• transferring seats
• walking around inside the classroom
• giving unnecessary comments/remarks during discussions
• making unnecessary facial expressions and gestures
• eating and chewing gum

 DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
Disciplinary actions are classified as A, B, C, and D. Please see Table of
Misconduct and Corresponding Sanctions for proper application of disciplinary
actions. The school promotes positive discipline in forming the right values and conduct of
its students. Disciplinary actions shall include:
A. Rendering School Service shall be given to students who have committed
misbehavior
School Services shall mean light sanctions that include rendering services to the
school community designed to teach the erring student the value of respect for
others, policies and authorities.
The school services shall include the following:
1. Rendering service to the school community like cleaning the school premises or rest rooms
for at least one hour a day for 3-5 days.
2. If a male student assist the guard on duty in receiving & dispatching students in the gate.
For at least one hour a day for 3 - 5 days
B. Suspension (D.O 88, s. 2010, Sec. 136a)
“Sec. 136a. ‘Suspension’ is a penalty in which the school is allowed to
deny or deprived an erring pupil or student of attendance in classes for a
period not exceeding twenty (20%) percent of the prescribed class days for
the school year or term.”
• The school will impose a 2-day suspension on erring students.
Students under suspension, will report to school but will be under
the supervision of the Guidance Counselor and the Prefect of
Students.
C. Exclusion
“Sec. 136c. ‘Exclusion’ is a penalty in which the school is allowed to
exclude or drop the name of the erring pupil or student from the school rolls
for being undesirable, and transfer credentials immediately issued. A
summary investigation shall have been conducted, and no prior approval by
the Department is required in the imposition of the penalty.”
 PROCEDURE FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTION
Student misconduct shall be dealt with using the following procedure:

• The Class Adviser shall notify the parent/guardian of the
misconduct committed in writing (Parent/Guardian Notification
Form/Conduct Breach Form)
• The Class Adviser (with Subject Teacher, as the case maybe) shall
submit a Narrative Report of the misconduct committed to the
Prefect of Students’ Office
• The student shall submit a Narrative Report of the incident with the
assistance of his/her parent/guardian or lawyer
• The student and parent/guardian shall be informed of the decision in
writing by the Prefect of Students
 STUDENT ON PROBATION
A. Any student who incurred 2 conduct grades of D within the school year will be
considered under probation.
B. Any student who will be put under probation will be closely monitored by the
Class Adviser and Prefect of Students.
C. Violation of any policy or regulation of the school incurred by the student under
probation will be ground for non- admittance for the next year.
