ADVANTAGE & DISADVANTAGE OF GLOBALIZATION
1. The advantage of TECHNOLOGICAL GLOBALIZATION is the economic growth. Because of
the technology, manufacturers produce products faster using less of manpower which
makes the production cheaper and causes the business to profit more. Another
advantage is the global competition wherein manufacturers or inventors of electronic
gadgets or appliances create more innovative technologies and better than the other
manufacturers which causes faster technological innovation. The disadvantage of this
type of globalization is the inequalities between society wherein only the rich can have
better access of better technologies while the poor cannot afford it causing division
between this two kinds of society. Another disadvantage is that machines are replacing
the human manpower causing unemployment to a lot of people which may lead to
poverty.
2. The advantage of CULTURAL GLOBALIZATION is that a wide range of variety from food,
clothing, and lifestyles has been shared across the globe leaving traces of it between
local cultures. Sharing of cultures between countries makes people more understanding
of each other giving good relationships to different nations. But the disadvantage of it is
that the local culture of one nation is gradually fading especially if they embraced the
foreign culture too much and making them their own.
