SMART Analysis
Specific
The goal that I want to achieve in this semester is to train and develop communication skills, and
decision making skills within 1 semester.
Measurable
In achieving the goal of developing communication skills and decision making, measurements
were made which can be seen from myself, namely in the aspect of developing communication
skills seen from how fluently I am able to speak in public without feeling nervous and with the
right intonation. For decision making skills, it can be measured from the decisions I make whether
they are right and there are no regrets after the decision (Ogbeiwi, 2017).
Achievable
This self-development can be achieved because I have had these two abilities a long time ago, the
ability to make good decisions is a must-have. Because the decisions you make concern the goals
of the company (Kaplan, 2022). I have mastered 4 very important components in communication
skills namely Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (Indeed, n.d.). So that self-development
will be easy for me to develop again.
Relevant
Communications skills are one of the basic developments that I must have because communication
skills are very important because they can maintain relationships between one individual and
another, so that a job related to company goals will be easy to complete (Mahajan, n.d.). Decision
making or decision making is one of the important things in every business process. Because if the
company makes the wrong decision, the results will have a negative impact on business growth
and continuity (Siebert, 2021).
Time Bound
To achieve my goal of developing communication skills and decision making skills, I will update
my skills every day and will be achieved within 1 semester.
