Genius Scan App – Overview
• You will use this App to upload your CLIP Essay and other
documents
• Reminders:
• At the top of your essay, each page should have the following heading:

Your initials - Example: John Smith - JS
Your Empl-ID #:
Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, Page 4
Date of the Test
• Always rename your document(PDF) to your Empl-ID # only
• In your email the subject line should include
• Your first and last name, Empl-ID
PLAY STORE
On your phone, open
the play store app
Genius Scan App
Download
• At the top in the search box, Type
in:
• Genius Scan
• Press install
• Download the app on to your phone
and then press open
App on homescreen
• Locate on app on your home
screen of your phone
• Press on it to open

• Press the camera icon to start
taking pictures of your CLIP
essay
Batch copies
• Always make sure its on the correct
symbol. You want to have all your
pictures in one document
• The orange border gives you the a
more centralized picture
• Tells you the number of pictures
your have taken so far
Picture of the essay
• Take the picture of your
essay
• Make sure your heading is
correct
• On your last picture of
your essay press the
checkmark
Change Title of
document
• At the top of the
screen,
• Delete the date and
time
• Type in your Empl-ID
number ONLY
Sharing your document
• Verify you have all your pictures
from your essay
• Press the symbol at the top to
share your essay via your email
to the instructor

Leave the default settings
Scroll up to look for the section
that says:
•“Other Apps”
Choose how you want to send
Choose the email
• Gmail
• Outlook
• Yahoo Mail
Emailing your Essay
• To: send your CLIP essay to the following
email:
• clipbcc202@gmail.com
• Subject Line MUST have your:
• first and lastname
• Empl-ID number
• Send your email
• Wait until the instructor looks at your
document to make sure you did it
correctly.
• You may not leave the session until the
instructor says you are good to go
