Introduction Vitamins are the organic compounds which enhance the metabolism of protiens, carbohydrates and fats. Without vitamins the breakdown of food could not occur. Vitamins are devided into two types. # fat soluble # water soluble WATER SOLUBLE VITAMINS These are the vitamins, which are soluble In the water and almost all the water soluble vitamins are available in water based food materials(source) The vitamins are Vitamin-B Vitamin-C Fat soluble vitamins All the fat soluble vitamins are available in fat containing food materials and some vegetables.(source).
