Preamble The preamble is an introduction to the constitution of india which contains the fundamental rights, aims, philosophy and objectives on which ohr constitution is based. The preamble serves as a guide for both the constitution and the judges who intepret the same. The preamble is not enforcable in a court of law. The drafting process of the constitution took 2 years, 11 mo ths and 18 days. The constituent assemble was first constitued in 1946.
