This Muktinath tour package belongs to those who don’t prefer a long drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and want to use the remaining time for another purpose. People who prefer more luxurious and comfortable travel can use a chartered helicopter from Pokhara to Muktinath for the same day return.
Muktinath temple is one of the most widespread and important religious destinations of Nepal. It lies at the altitude of 3,710 meters at the base of Thorong La. This place is a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists. Commonly known as “Mukti Kshetra” or “Place of Salvation”, thousands of people visit this religious site every year in the belief of having their sins washed.
According to Hinduism, Muktinath is one of the most ancient temples of the God Vishnu and the Vaishnava tradition. The shrine is one of the eight sacred places known as Svayam Vyakta Kshetra. It is also one of the 108 Divya Desam, or divine places of worship of Lord Vishnu. Furthermore, it is also one of the 51 Shakti Pitha goddess sites where the body parts of Sati have fallen down.
The tour starts with your arrival on the first day in Kathmandu. As per the arrival time, you can customize sightseeing in Kathmandu. The second day you will visit the Pashupatinath temple and Jal Narayan temple. After the sightseeing, you will take a domestic flight to Pokhara. The third day you will take another flight to Jomsom from Pokhara. From Jomsom to Muktinath you will visit by the drive on a sharing jeep. You can reserve a jeep on a private basis as well with additional cost.
After Muktinath Darshan, you will return back to Jomsom for the overnight stay. The fourth day you will fly back to Pokhara and after a short refreshment proceed for your sightseeing. The fifth day you will fly back to Kathmandu and visit for another half-day of sightseeing and you will have some free time as well for shopping. On the sixth day, we will farewell you on your return home.
