QUESTION 1
A school project development is taking place in a remote rural area. The proposed
development will consist of classrooms, staff offices and ablution blocks. You are required to
create a plan for masonry work of the school office block, the project Quantity Surveyor has
provided Bill 14 [attached in the next page] and you are assigned 8 labourers to assist
complete the work. 5 of these labourers can build 3m2 of 280mm wall in 20 hours, 5m2 of
230mm wall in 10 hours, and 6m2 of 110mm wall in 20 hours irrespective of the types of
bricks used. All 5 labourers should be used for all activities.
