A Mountain Climbing
The most frightened experience in my life happens to me a few years ago while I was
at university. I was a member of the rock climbing club, and every weekends we
would go for climbing in the Welsh mountains. One Saturday we set out in fine spirits
- the sun was shine and there was not a cloud on the sky. We began climb the
mountain, and by lunchtime we had managed to get at least halfway up. While we
were eating our sandwiches and mint cake we had noticed some dark clouds forming
in the distance. We weren't worried. However, we continued on our way. This turned
out to be a big mistake - the clouds got close and closer, then it began to snow. We
tried to get down the mountain, but the snowstorm became such bad that we got stuck.
Eventually we were rescued, but not before we had spent half the night up there, cold,
miserable and sure that we was all going to die. I hope it never happens again.
