that Academic Text will focus on texts that would help students in shs in their specific field.
thought it will be more on scientific texts and words with deeper meaning.
The first thing that came to mind is that we would be discussing the way we use words to create
sentences.
This will help us in the future, from future jobs and future writings.
Helps us understand the importance of using terminologies in specific field of expertise.
it would create a learning opportunity to understand different field as to why they use terminologies.
It would give us ideas on how to be conscious in grammar, non-technical judgements and usage of terms.

I learned that academic text is a specialized and critically formal text that is written by those
who are in fields that are required to use formal language.
I also learned that academic writing is impersonal, technical, objective and most
importantly, formal.
Moreover, I also learned that there are some examples of formal writing such as literary
analysis—in which it evaluates and makes arguments about a literary piece.
In addition to that example, we also have Research Papers.
Dissertation is also an example of Academic Writing. It is a collection of manuscripts for a
doctorate degree.
Another example is structure, wherein, it enables the people to understand the text better
by proof-reading and correcting grammar, punctuations, capitalizations and more.
There are dos and don’ts in writing an academic piece. It is important to keep in mind to stay
formal—and by that, it is meant to avoid contractions and emotional languages. There
should be more cautions evaluations in doing this form of writing.
In addition to the dos and don’ts, being objective is one of the particular traits that an
academic writing should contain. Avoid evaluative words based on judgements and feelings.
Moreover, the sources should be credible and authorized.
Lastly, I learned that in writing Academic Texts, we should be particularly careful of our
vocabulary, usage of words and meaning of technical terms.
