1. Perform each operations in PARENTHESES.
2. Find the value of numbers with EXPONENTS.
3. MULTIPLY or DIVIDE from left to right.
4. ADD or SUBTRACT from left to right.
Simplify each expression using order of operations.
7+5×3
6 × (7 − 3)
Exponents.
Divide.
Add.
=6×4
Perform operations
in the parentheses.
= 24
Multiply.
3 ÷ 3 × 22
2 × (4 + 1)
Stan is purchasing movie tickets for 2 adults and 3 children. The adult tickets are $6
each and children's tickets are $4 each. Simplify 2 × 6 + 3 × 4 to find the total cost
Stan paid.
