Operations & Training Plan

Executive Summary:
Our plan is to build and implement an Operations and Training plan for the new Plant Pals
service. We want the plan to create sustainable fulfillment and delivery practices for the
service’s day-to-day operations.
Project Goal
SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound
● Build and implement a successful sustainability-focused Operations and
Training plan for the new Plant Pals service within the next 6 months. This
includes setting up operational tools, putting delivery processes in place, and
training at least 90% of employees by launch.
Deliverables
1. Create a plant delivery and logistics plan
2. Set up order processing and supply chain management software
3. Developing and launching an employee training program.
Business Case / Background
Why are we doing this?
These plans are critical in ensuring the success of the Plant Pals launch. Suporting
Plant Pals through sustainable and efficient practices decreases risk of revenue loss
and supports the larger company goal of a 5% revenue increase from Plant Pals.

Benefits:
● Support new service leading to 5% revenue increase, reduce late shipments
and related costs, increase customer satisfaction
● Creates brand loyalty
● Increases company's competitiveness with faster shipping and response times
Costs:
● Price of software, installation fees, time spent on hiring and training
● Increased overtime pay after launch if needing to ensure success criteria met
Budget needed:
● $75,000

In-Scope:
● Customer service standards, delivery processes, training protocols
Out-of-Scope:
● Product development, vendor contracts
● Website management after launch
● Implementing Operations and Training plan outside of Plant Pals

Measuring Success
What is acceptable:
1. Deliver 95% of orders on time within one month of launch
2. All orders should be packaged and ready for shipment within two business days of being
placed.
