Procrastination and irresolution
Procrastination and irresolution are not the same, but they can be related.
Procrastination is the act of delaying or postponing a task or decision, often
leading to feelings of guilt, stress, and anxiety. It can be caused by a lack of
motivation, fear of failure, or difficulty in starting a task.
Irresolution, on the other hand, refers to the inability to make a decision or take
action, often due to indecisiveness or uncertainty. It can be caused by a lack of
information, conflicting values, or fear of making the wrong choice.
While procrastination can be a result of irresolution, it can also stem from other
factors. Similarly, irresolution can sometimes lead to procrastination, but it can also
manifest in other ways.
In short, while procrastination and irresolution can be related, they are not
interchangeable terms and have distinct meanings.
