ILS Approach:
→ AP → SPD AWLS
→ RAD1 or RAD2 → entern ILS Frequency (upper line)
→ AIDS → NAV MODE → VOR1 or VOR2
→ NAV → STR
→ TRK to Capture Localizer (AP needs its time to propperly align)
→ APP (when established on LOC and Glideslope becomes active)

General: This checklist is designed for a efficient operation flow for one
pilot, but I tried to keep it as close as possible to the real procedures. The
procedures are intentionally simplified in some regards, to make this
guide accessible for beginners.

TRK = NAV Mode
ALT = Altitude Capture & Hold Mode
Set Altitude for AP:
→ AP → ALT SEL → ALT → use Arrow Keys to set
Set Manual Speed for ATH:
→ AP → SPD SEL - DAS/DMA → use Arrow Key to set
(switch Mach/IAS with GS/M Buttons on DDI or MFDs)
Set actual Speed to ATH:
→ AP → SPD HOLD (AP/AT then uses the Speed at Activation)
Follow GPS Flightplan:
→ AIDS → NAV MODE → NAV AUTO
→ NAV → STR
→ TRK
Follow a manual Heading:
→ NAV → HOLD
→ HDG → select HDG with left lower Knobs on MFDs

- 1-2 NM behind the Runway → 180° Left Turn
DOWNWIND LEG @ 1.000 ft AGL
- descellerate to below 200 KIAS
- GEAR DOWN (below 290 KIAS)
- Speed → AOA ON SPEED (Manual Trim)
- Speed is depending on weight ~ 120 - 180 KIAS
BASE LEG TURN
advanced:
- 1 NM abeam → start 180° Left Turn
- Sinkrate ~ 5 x Groundspeed (600 - 800 fpm - dep. on weight)
- control Sinkrate with Throttle
- don´t Bank to much - max 30° Bank Angle
- Speed - maintain AOA ON SPEED
beginner:
- 4 -5 NM abeam → start 180° Left Turn
- maintain altitude during Turn
- don´t Bank to much - max 30° Bank Angle
- control Sinkrate with Throttle
- align at runway track at end of turn
- start descent to runway ~ 3 NM out
- Sinkrate ~ 5 x Groundspeed (600 - 800 fpm - dep. on weight)
- control Sinkrate with Throttle
- Speed - maintain AOA ON SPEED
