BRIGADA ESKWELA ANNUAL ACCOMPLISPHMENT
REPORT
School Year 2021-2022
INTRODUCTION:
With the unexpected COVID-19 pandemic in this school year, fear,
stress, and anxiety came upon the residents. The continued rise in the
number of positive cases in the country and in the whole world now marks the
future uncertain. No one knows when it will be back to normal, and this cause
undue stress to common people. The health protocols implemented also
affected the livelihood of many residents. Most families are members of the
4Ps and worried about financial matters especially if the crisis extends even
more. Moreover, parents worry about how they could contribute to the
learning of their kids if they are not equipped with high school or even
elementary diplomas. Those who do have available gadgets and an internet
connections, meanwhile worry either their children are learning or simply
playing and wasting time in social media. Additionally, learners have divided
attention at home as they contribute with taking care of their siblings, doing
household chores, and helping with the livelihood. Time on task now became
limited.
However, even of the weaknesses possessed by the school in this
scenario, it is still considered as an opportunity for the school to continue its
operations smoothly, especially that the Municipal Local Government Unit
(MLGU) headed by the Municipal Mayor no other than Honorable Macario
Tingson has always been supportive of all schools in the district and its
endeavors. Aside from that, the barangay LGU led by their Barangay Captain
in their respective barangays together with the parents, are also exercising
their support and assistance for the betterment of the school.
Therefore due to the current status that has been discussed above, the
following consolidated goals and objectives from the different schools in the

district are formulated to cater all learners with consideration of the chosen
learning delivery:



To establish a strong school, family, and community
partnership for school performance and the betterment of
all school learners in the district on the new normal
scenario.
To provide flexible, inclusive, equitable, and sensitive
quality elementary and secondary education to all
Tukuran West District learners through Modular Learning
Delivery and mixed with Limited Face to Face classes
started only in March, 2022.
To ensure the health, safety, and well-being of learners
and DepED personnel by establishing protocols on
minimum health standards issued by DepED, consistent
with the guidelines of the Department of Health (DOH),
Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), and Office of the
President (OP).
Sample of the different activities implemented by all schools in the
district, in strengthening the BRIGADA ESKWELA 2021, anchored with the
objectives above amidst this pandemic time, are shown in the next pages with
its corresponding pictorials.
BRIGADA PAGBASA
‘’Today a reader, tomorrow a leader”
The COVID-19 has changed our lives not only in our day-to-day living
but also in the process of learning. The Department of Education developed a
program, the BRIGADA PAGBASA where teachers diligently prepared
reading materials for the pupils according to the different level of their reading
abilities. This program aims to help the learners improve their reading skills,
develop their reading comprehensions and make every learner a fully literate

through reading at home with the help of their parents as partners in the

BRIGADA ORIENTATION
Each school in the district conducted an orientation to both internal and
external stakeholders during Brigada Eskwela, to always equip and refresh
them of the health protocols and some other means and ways in helping our
school children as soon as the school year started.

BIDA SA COVID INITIATIVES
The health and safety of teachers, learners and parents in this school year
will be the guiding principle and primary focus as we continue the school operations
and sustain the ‘next normal’. This includes incorporating newly accepted norms of
physical distancing, hygiene, and responsible use of Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It also depends on a culture that
encourages personal and group adherence to new safety standards prescribed by
the government.
Because of that, during Brigada Eskwela the district prioritized the
implementation of WinS in each school and to kept on advocacating on the
promotion of correct hygiene and sanitation practices among school children and
parents that clean environment has been the government’s priority through the
Department of Education to keep the learners safe and healthy, excel academically
and develop to be productive citizens in their respective locality or in the country as
whole
Therefore both internal and external stakeholders were joining hands together
by the leadership of the School Head in each school, to do some initiatives for the
improvement of the school environment and availability of facilities. Below are

CONLUSION:
The conduct of Brigada Eskwela is highly advantageous to the entire school
community, especially to the School Head, teachers, and learners, because the
majority of resources, especially the cost of the labor services are utilized to generate
donations because this activity is run entirely by volunteers. They become united and
motivated inside as they consider how they can help and work together for the benefit
of the school where their children are enrolled. The purpose of Brigada Eskwela is to
develop understanding among all segments of society that the education of the Filipino
people is everyone's duty. The government, which offers free education to Filipino kids,
the community in which they develop, and the business sector, which will eventually
employ them, are all stakeholders in education. Their collaboration is critical to the
success of every children's education.
Therefore in Tukuran West District 10 out of 10 elementary schools and 3 out
of 3 secondary schools were 100% implemented the Brigada Eskwela, S.Y. 2021-2022
successfully by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
