Lesson Plan in Physical Education
I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
a. identify the locomotor and non locomotor movements;
b. appreciate the importance of doing good health conscious habits; and
c. create an aerobic dance using locomotor and non locomotor movement.

B. Motivation
There will be a dance exercise. The teacher will execute the dance and the
students will follow the movements of the teacher.

C. Discussion
Locomotor movement allows the body to
move from one place to another place.
Examples: running, walking
Non locomotor movements allow the body to
execute while the feet remain in place.
Examples: shaking, reaching the feet without
bending the knees, jumping in place
D. Activities
Students will make a dance with their own choreography using the 2 kinds of
movement: locomotor and non locomotor movement. The teacher will give only 5
minutes to practice and the criteria will be given as follows;

E. Generalization
The teacher will ask the students these following questions;
1. What are those 2 kinds of movement?
2. What is Locomotor movement?
3. Can you give me some examples of locomotor movement?
4. How about non locomotor movement?

F. Valuing
The teacher will ask the students these following questions;
1. How can you maintain our healthy lifestyle?
2. When you are dancing what happen to the parts of your body?
3. Do you think moving the parts of your body is a good habit of maintaining a
healthy body?
4. Is moving our body parts or exercising is a good sign of a health-conscious
habit?
5. Is it important to be healthy conscious? Why?
IV. Evaluation
Direction: Get a 1/2 sheet of paper and answer this. You just have to classify if what
kind of movements do these exercises belong.
